Hi there! I’m Steve – or Sang Gil LEE if you prefer my Korean name — a licensed tour guide, storyteller, and a man who has lived the very history I now share.

I was born in the late 1950s, in a city still healing from the scars of war.
As a young officer, I served at the DMZ. Later, I worked at MBC during the golden age of Korean broadcasting. I studied in the U.S. just as *Hallyu* — the Korean Wave — was beginning to ripple outward. And I helped shape cultural policy at KOCCA, Korea’s content agency.

In other words, I didn’t just learn about Korea’s transformation — I lived it.

So when I walk past old military outposts or hear temple bells echoing through the mountains, they don’t feel like tourist attractions.
They feel like memories.

Today, I lead immersive private tours for travelers who want more than just pretty sights.
With me, you’ll walk the border that still divides a nation.
You’ll hear stories that textbooks never tell.
