My name is Carlos, I am a professional tour guide with certification in Mayan Culture; I was born and raised in Bacalar Town with a special interest in wild nature and Mayan history. Ever since I started being a tour guide 5 years ago I like to provide the best and enriching tour experience for everybody. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and show them how amazing this part of Mexico is. My town is beautiful, we have the 7-color lake with four amazing cenotes and the Fort of San Felipe with a lot of history behind that I'd like to share with you on your next visit. Great Experience. The communication the evening before the tour was so nice. Carlos did a wonderful job explaining the history and keeping the kids entertained and engaged. His van had great AC and was easy to find. The groups from the cruise ship seemed huge and it was so nice to just be our family on the tour, he had maps and info books to show us some of the history....

Carlos was a wonderful tour guide. His knowledge of the Chacchoben Mayan ruins was fantastic. The setting of Bacalar Lake was wonderful, the lake was a perfect blue, the lunch on the dock was very good and during lunch we had time to visit with Carlos about his home area and the lake.

He gave perfect directions to where we would meet, his car was comfortable and clean, his English was impeccable and he tailored the tour to meet our specific interests and limitations. Clearly a subject matter expert on the pyramids, the ancient history and customs, Carlos made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed our tour. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!
