Guide #9092
I deeply believe traveling is a unique experience that has to go beyond stereotypes and tourist traps in order to be authentic and fulfilling. For me, truly discovering a new destination requires a real immersion into its heritage as much as into its revitalization. What do I like to share with you during my tours? Quebec City's rich history as well as its vibrant and dynamic rebirth as a cultural and gastronomic destination. You will finish my tours with a true perspective of its local life. You will also come back home with a better comprehension of our city’s important role in North America's development through all the key events taking place here since its founding. Some of them might surprise you! Moreover, I think it's really important to have a positive impact, as much as possible, on the local communities when traveling. That's why I support local businesses every time I have the chance myself. During my tours, I will definitely point out to you the best places to go to, not only to support our local industry, but also to enjoy the best service and products. As a passionate local about my city, and after more than 20 years living downtown, I am still amazed by its beauty, its heritage, its nature and its food (even after more than 16 years guiding too!) Whether you are looking to learn more about the military or cultural history, the architecture, the culinary industry, or anything else, I can tailor all my tours in order to focus more on your specific interests. As a foodie myself, I can also give you many suggestions about the best restaurants and pubs in town, before or during the tour. Don't hesitate to ask me! By the way, if you don't know how to pronounce my name, don't worry about it, you are not the only ones! My parents wanted to spell it unusually, even for us. So, I luckily got the chance to talk about it everyday! (The D is silent). ;) As well, you will notice during my tour that I don't have hair due to alopecia. At 37 years old, I lost all my hair because of this auto-immune disease. Besides this inconvenience, I am very healthy, just hairless. I'll be happy to talk about it if you have any questions. If ever you see me with hair, it’s a wig! See you soon! In 2011, I completed Tourism studies at the Champlain College and Cegep Limoilou institutions I am a Quebec City licensed tour guide and working as a full time freelancer since 2014 I am a board member of the AGTQ (Quebec Tour Guide Association) I organize the Pentathlon des Neiges event in February. The 2026 edition is my 6th year in the team.

Djany was wonderful! My wife and I were on the last day of a six-day organized tour and had been walking so much before our tour with Djany we were concerned we were too exhausted for another half-day walking tour, but she was great about pacing our walk and still covered so much in Quebec City. Her knowledge of the city and ability to tailor our tour to cover areas we...
