From the age of 10, I developed a passion for mountain hiking and rock climbing, and later had the opportunity to travel beyond our once-closed borders. After graduating from university, I turned my love of languages and travel into a career as a tourist guide, interpreter, translator, and language teacher, working in French, English, Turkish, and Russian. Since 2002, I have been proud to call Québec City my home. In my opinion, it is one of the world’s most fascinating, beautiful, best-preserved, and safest cities. Every day, I continue to discover something new about its rich history, unique culture, and vibrant atmosphere. My greatest pleasure is sharing that passion and knowledge with visitors from around the world. During our walk around Quebec City, I will show you some great places and views like Chateau Frontenac - the most photographed hotel in the world; Cap Diamant, Place Royale, Monasteries, Cathedrals, Montmorency Falls, which marked the history of Quebec. And much more. . . After the Old Quebec tour, I propose a visit to the Île d'Orléans and taste something unique, like Ice Wine or Ice Cider. Would you like to learn the secrets of their production? Have you ever tasted Black Currant Mustard, Vinegar, etc? If so, join me on this tour! The maps and the pictures I use will help you to understand and to imagine all the historical events.

Elena was prompt at our cruise ship and gave us a great tour of Quebec City and the surrounding area. She accommodated our wishes and priorities. She had prepared pictures of the political landscape in Canada/USA at different periods of history to give context to what we were being shown in the area. She shared stories to link the history with the monuments and places. we toured the island seeing beautiful colors in the trees and stopped for tastings. We saw the falls up close - it was a walk. We learned so much Canadian and US history. She returned us to the ship at the agreed upon time.

Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, Alfred Hitchcock and many other prominent guests; - Dufferin Terrace with its great Saint-Laurence River view; - Basilica Notre-Dame-de-Quebec with its Saint Door - the only one on the continent; - Plains of Abraham, where a 20-minute battle changed the history of the whole continent; - Parliament Building (in 2017 we celebrated 225 years of Parliament system in Canada) and Tourny Fountain; - Montmorency Falls (30 meters higher than Niagara Falls) - Orleans Island with two or three destinations like: Cassis Monna et Filles, Winery Île de Bacchus, Cidrerie Bilodeau, Chocolaterie Ile d'Orleans or a fascinating art gallery Le Jardin des Arts.
