Elena was knowledgable and organized. We didn’t have to keep track of time or wonder what the next stop would be. She was engaging and very sweet. There were 4 in our group and we were very comfortable. I would 100% choose toursbylocals again

Nice to meet you! I’m Elena. 🙂 Bienvenue à Québec! Here’s a little about me. I was born and raised in a country that no longer exists—the USSR. From the age of 10, I developed a passion for mountain hiking and rock climbing, and later had the opportunity to travel beyond our once-closed borders. After graduating from university, I turned my love of languages and travel into a career as a tourist guide, interpreter, translator, and language teacher, working in French, English, Turkish, and Russian. Since 2002, I have been proud to call Québec City my home. In my opinion, it is one of the world’s most fascinating, beautiful, best-preserved, and safest cities. Every day, I continue to discover something new about its rich history, unique culture, and vibrant atmosphere. My greatest pleasure is sharing that passion and knowledge with visitors from around the world. Qualifications & Memberships * Licensed Tourist Guide * Member of CGAQ (Corporation des guides accompagnateurs du Québec) * Member of AGTQ (Association des guides touristiques de Québec) * Graduate of Kuban State University, Faculty of Foreign Philology I look forward to welcoming you to Québec City and sharing with you the history, charm, and magic that make it such an unforgettable destination

Dear Friend, I would gladly introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world! You will be exposed to the history of Quebec City - the cradle of future Canada. During our walk around Quebec City, I will show you some great places and views like Chateau Frontenac - the most photographed hotel in the world; Cap Diamant, Place Royale, Monasteries, Cathedrals, Montmorency Falls, which marked the history of Quebec. And much more. . . After the Old Quebec tour, I propose a visit to the Île d'Orléans and taste something unique, like Ice Wine or Ice Cider. Would you like to learn the secrets of their production? Have you ever tasted Black Currant Mustard, Vinegar, etc? If so, join me on this tour! The maps and the pictures I use will help you to understand and to imagine all the historical events.

Elena was very knowledgeable about the unique aspects of Quebec City and its history. Despite inclement weather, she helped us make the most of our time in what has to be one of North America’s most beautiful destinations! We enjoyed our time with her very much!
Elena is knowledgeable and engaging! We had so much fun our ile d’orleans tasting tour!
Our guide Elana was a delightful lady and very knowledgeable. She altered our tour to suit our needs. She was an excellent driver and was very respectful, polite and engaged with all us our group. We all appreciate the effort and attitude she provided. I would highly recommend her!
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful tour of beautiful Quebec City with Elena. She was gracious, prompt, very informative, and planned an ideal itinerary for our first visit to this charming city. We highly recommend touring with Elena, especially for first time visitors. Based on our experience, we are anxious to return and explore more of this lovely part of Canada. Thank you, Elena!
Elena was prompt at our cruise ship and gave us a great tour of Quebec City and the surrounding area. She accommodated our wishes and priorities. She had prepared pictures of the political landscape in Canada/USA at different periods of history to give context to what we were being shown in the area. She shared stories to link the history with the monuments and places. we toured the island seeing beautiful colors in the trees and stopped for tastings. We saw the falls up close - it was a walk. We learned so much Canadian and US history. She returned us to the ship at the agreed upon time.
