Afraid of the cold? Not sure if you want to walk around Quebec City for that long? Believe me, this city is the most picturesque under the snow. Discover with me the unique beauty of this 400-year-old winter capital in North America during this 3-hour tour. Visiting during the cold season is a must and the most authentic experience you can get of our lifestyle. Imagine settling here so long ago, without electricity and supermakets. . . Get to learn how these brave people survived back then. Old Quebec is a charming town nestled in the narrowing of the beautiful St-Lawrence River. I will be more than happy to show you why this city is regularly ranked among the world's top winter destinations. This UNESCO World Heritage site has a lot to offer, from old winding streets to trendy local restaurants, from traditional French architecture to proudly standing monuments. Needless to say, the best way to discover this fortified city is definitely by foot, following me through four centuries of history!
This tour is meant to be adapted to your interests and pace. I can be very flexible regarding the itinerary. Along the way, here are the main attractions we may see together according to time and/or weather: The fortifications Château Frontenac area and the Dufferin Terrace with the famous tobogganing slide (*please note that the opening of the slide is strongly linked to the weather conditions and may not be opened the day of our tour) Notre-Dame-de-Quebec Basilica-Cathedral City Hall Square Seminary of Quebec interior courtyard D'Youville Square, where we find a beautiful skating rink (bring your own ice skates if you want to go back later during your stay or rent some on site!) The Petit-Champlain neighbourhood (we may take the funiculaire together to skip the steep uphill walk) Without forgetting Place Royale area where Quebec City was founded
