Jay W.

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada

I'm a semi-retired academic who is passionate about the natural and cultural assets of my native province.

I've conducted custom tours in Halifax since 2012, and also work with Road Scholar programs as a group leader and lecturer.

Nova Scotia has spectacular coastal scenery, friendly people, and a surprisingly complex past. Prepare to be informed and entertained by Bluenose culture!

I offer tours year-round, so please check my calendar for availability. I can accommodate groups of up to six.

A Recent Review of this guide

Jay is an excellent tour guide and adjusted our tour to add a couple extra stops for places we had read about. He is very knowledgeable about all the sites and about the history of the area. He offered to take pictures of our group and did do with care. We also decided to change the order of the trip due to some rain coming and he was very accommodating.
