Greetings! Welcome to Puerto Rico "The Island of Enchantement" When I was a 16 year old boy working in the Southwest of the island in the Municipality of "Lajas, La Parguera", I got my first car and drivers license and decided to get lost in the Island of Enchantment Puerto Rico. Ever since i've been piling up contacts, photos, directions, information and unique experiences to share with my friends. During those days it never crossed my mind that I would end up doing this for a living and to support my family as my main source of income but it came true after working in different hotels, restaurants all over the island, Meeting Planning and finishing up my bachelors degree in Tourism Arts at the Sacred Heart University in Santurce. Sincerely I have been very fortunate to be able to work on my own as a tour operator and tour guide becoming licensed by the Tourism Company of Puerto Rico. In my 48 years of age I believe that this beautiful paradise is a lot more than a small archipelago of islands and this is true thanks to our people, our customs, traditions and a very rich culture that makes us unique. We locals are in love with our island and is the reason why I wish to share how beautiful and interesting it is with everyone that visits. You'll enjoy a nice private tour of Old San Juan, the 2nd oldest city in the Western Hemisphere, filled with history and Caribbean charm! This is a driving tour with different stops all around the city. You will be able to see our monumental forts, walk along cobblestone streets, enjoy a frosty "Piña Colada"! You'll see excellent examples of Spanish colonial architecture, and have some free time to walk along recommended areas and visit the world famous forts and landmarks. This is an informative excursion of the island at your own pace and includes some of greater San Juan areas like for example a visit to "La Placita" the market plaza in Santurce. Available only outside of the Old San Juan area from the 13th to the 16th of January or when the San Sebastian St. Fest is be celebrated in the city.
Hector was great, and ended up being the highlight of our entire cruise. Showed us around San Juan showing both touristy spots as well as local hangouts for lunch. Would recommend 100%, and will try to book again for a different tour when we come back!
Hector was so great and knowledgeable and flexible since we were a large family ranging from a year old to a 81 year old. We really enjoyed our tour and would absolutely recommend Hector.
Public review: We had a really good time with Hector on our Old San Juan tour. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and clearly knows the city well. It was a nice mix of history, sightseeing, and flexibility, which made the experience feel much more personal than a typical tour. We also appreciated that he took us to a great local lunch spot and coffee shop, which added a lot to the experience. We enjoyed it and would definitely recommend him!
Hector was the highlight of our visit to San Juan. He provided a customized guide around the city, and fit our needs perfectly. We learned a great deal about the areas history and gained a local perspective which was wonderful.
Hector was an amazing guide, sharing history and cultural knowledge about Castillo San Felipe del Morro and Old San Juan. Was easy to navigate town in his tour van. He also knows the best local restaurants for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend Hector for your next trip to San Juan!
This is a super nice man who loves sharing his homeland with his clients. You will feel at home in his home of Puerto Rico.
In Old San Juan we would normally drive around the city giving you guys information and stoping in different areas of interest as we go. First stop should be in "The San Felipe del Morro" Castle they now close at 5pm. I own the permit to give the group a tour inside the castles. Afterwards we could get back on the van and drive or walk to see the Ponce de Leons family house "Casa Blanca", the Gate of San Juan, "La Rogativa", the Christ St, The San Juan Cathedral closes at 4pm, the Governors "Palacio de Santa Catalina", Apt. at Tanca st. narrowest two story apartment in the western hemisphere (Guiness book 1972), stop for a Piña Colada and/or maybe some nice shopping in the area. My tours are very flexible and adapt to the client if you guys have a special interest please let me know and we could adapt the experience. I never do the same tour twice because everyone is different. I normally do not like to promise anything within the city situations happen that can alter the performance of the tour
