San Francisco is the number one city in the world for quality and diverse restaurants. If you will be driving on a road trip after San Francisco, I will share many "do not miss" places throughout California. I can also share with you some of the best short (or longer) hikes in California, that are some of the most scenic in the world. Overview of your San Francisco tour
Pacific Coast Highway, Cannery Row, best parts of 17 Mile Scenic Drive, Carmel, and Point Lobos. Often a quick stop at Pebble Beach. This is a full day tour. For those who like ocean views, beaches, surf, marine life, shops, good food, and unique homes. Start and end times are flexible. Vehicle has 4 seats plus driver seat. Monterey Bay Aquarium is optional. Weekends and holidays have more traffic.
Your San Francisco tour itinerary
Sample itinerary, all times approximate. 9AM Depart San Francisco, scenic drive along Pacific Coast Highway with photo stops. 12PM Arrive Monterey and Cannery Row. Interesting shops and restaurants. 2PM Depart Cannery Row (options: Fish Hopper restaurant & Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory). Continue the drive along Monterey coast to Pacific Grove entrance of 17 Mile Scenic Drive. 3PM Begin driving along only the best parts of 17 Mile Scenic Drive, optional stop at the Lodge At Pebble Beach for views, restrooms, oeo golf visitor shop, and ritzy stores. Nice deli if no lunch in Monterey. 3:45 Arrive in Carmel, (white sand beach, shops, restaurants). Continue on another very scenic road, and to optional "Carmel Mission". We will continue south 3 miles on Pacific Coast Highway to beautiful Point Lobos State Marine Reserve. Will show you my favorite walk above the ocean. 6PM Depart Carmel area, arrive in San Francisco about 8PM or 9PM. We will likely make a quick stop on way back to have dinner.
