Great things happen on my Harlem tours! Maybe a conversation with a proud, friendly, or hospitable local? Such Magical Moments happen in Harlem because of its rich street life. You will feel the energy and hear the sounds and music. I have lived, volunteered, and worked here for decades. Harlem enriches the world! Music, Literature, Architecture, Churches, Mosques, Soul Food, merchants, street life, a library. We contemplate contemporary issues, and marvel at how they relate to Harlem's wonderful heritage of justice, civil rights, economic development, spirituality, and the arts. And inspirational stories. I speak of: "The Black Pearls, " Who are these triumphant people?" Change; Freedoms; Integration versus Nationalism; 'Saturday Night' (fun) versus 'Sunday Morning' (in church);' Struggles for survival, change, revival, and success; Unity versus crime; Change versus Preservation; Reform and Civil Rights; The Harlem Renaissance. Catch the pride and excitement!
