I'm a native New Yorker and I have a great love and knowledge of New York City, from Times Square and The Great White Way to Brooklyn and many lesser-known but no less interesting sites. We can visit Harlem, the home of Jazz in NYC and of course the Battery to view the Statue of Liberty. All of New York's neighborhoods have a story to tell - from Wall Street to Central Park West where many celebrities dwell. I tell true and fascinating stories of New York's past and more recent history. I'll give you something to write home about. All the greats worked and played here in NYC. Times Square was the site of major venues like the Paramount Theater where Elvis' first movie "Love Me Tender" premiered in 1956 and where the Beatles played in 1964. Times Square was also home to music publishers and many acts signed their contracts in the Brill Building (featured in the HBO series "Vinyl"). In the early sixties, Greenwich Village was the home of folk music and Joni Mitchell, Janice Joplin, James Taylor, the Mamas & the Papas, Simon & Garfunkel and of course, Bob Dylan all got their start there. John Lennon and Yoko Ono lived in Greenwich Village and that's where Jimi Hendrix built his Electric Lady Studio. NYC's East Village was home to Punk Rock in the 1970s & 80s. The Ramones, Patti Smith, Talking Heads and Blondie are among the many great punk/new wave bands who got found fame here! Please message me before you book!
