Traveling has always been in my blood. First as a tourist, then for work and now, from the other side as a guide. I have lived, worked and loved in this wonderful metropolis and consequently I now help people discover New York City through the eyes of a Local. Here's my story in a nutshell: After graduating from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, I toured the world as an opera singer and settled in New York City over 30 years ago (I know! Time flies when you're having fun. . . In the "second act" of my life I shared my passion between teaching Voice, and investing. I have worked in the financial markets, saw the internet bubble from the inside and the financial crisis from a little too close. . . if you know what I mean. In the third act, I had children bringing light and life into my household and a strong desire to educate started to grow in me. A life long passion for history found its way through Tour Guiding. Since the year 2005, guiding tourists (and sometimes even locals!) through my city has been less than a job and more of a passion. If you want a unique experience, lively conversations on a wide range of topics and funny anecdotes about New York City, look no further. I can conduct my tours in either English or French, or both if you wish! I am looking forward to being your guide and maybe you'll join me in an aria or two. Benoit Fully Licensed New York City Sightseeing Tour Guide San Francisco Conservatory of Music Graduate Voice Teacher I do not have a car. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. In my opinion, Walking Tours are the best way to discover and enjoy New York City.

On Liberty Island you will be treated with a hefty dose of pride and anecdotes around the most popular statue in the world! You will have the option to visit the pedestal and, you will have access to the brand new interactive museum (included) as well as all of the grounds for out-of-this-world picture opportunities! I will guide you around this magnificent monument while showing you some of my favourite sites that can be viewed from the island. You might even be able to catch a glance at the Queen Mary II making its bi-monthly stop in the harbour. We'll also visit the famous Ellis Island; the main entrance door to America for more than a half century. This experience is sure to move you and you may shed a tear or two as you discover the immigrants' quest for the American dream. Oh, I almost forgot! This is also one of the most beautiful views of Manhattan as seen from this Island! Simply breathtaking. . . Don't forget to take pictures, all your friends will be jealous!
Benoit is delightful! He led our Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Private Tour. He started by coming to our hotel and personally taking us to the Ferry. This gave us time to hear even more details about our day. He had such great information. There were 4 of us and we enjoyed every moment. I can't say enough about this man and our tour. Well done!

Benoit was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! His knowledge was extensive and he made the tour of both the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island an amazing experience for us all! The time flew with him as our guide. He has a wonderful sense of humor too!
·After meeting either in front of the main entrance of Castle Clinton or at your hotel (according to preference), we'll head to the ferry station to get on board towards Liberty Island. ·On arrival you'll visit the grounds, the pedestal, and potentially the crown (if you requested a reservation far enough in advance), plus the island's interactive museum with 3 interactive galleries. ·Afterwards, we'll re-board our ferry (at the same place where it left us prior) and we are off to Ellis Island. ·Once we're there, we'll start seeing its monuments such as the American Immigrant Wall of Honor. ·Then, we'll visit the Ellis Island Immigration Museum, where we'll take in the stories of the millions of immigrants who came through here from 1892-1954. You will also have access to more museums if you wish to! ·At the end, from the same pier, we'll get on our ferry to return back to Castle Clinton and complete this round trip through history!
