Ciao! I'm Laura, a Sicilian jazz vocalist & songwriter turned New Yorker tour guide. I'm a total extrovert, I love meeting people and sharing not only the Highlights of this magical city but also my personal experiences as an immigrant to the Big Apple. I am always up for a heart-to-heart conversation, funny jokes and to take your pictures ;) What are you waiting for? Come discover NYC with me! About me: I'm an award-winning songwriter and jazz singer born and raised in Sicily, Italy. I landed in New York City in 2010 and fell in love with its rough and electric vibe. I moved to the Big Apple to work as a performer, and to make ends meet I've also held jobs as a private teacher, baby sitter, waitress, translator, personal assistant at the university level, and columnist, until in 2018 I started working as a tour guide. That was a game changer for me, for in tourism I found a great new love! I am a licensed NYC sightseeing tour guide and have been working regularly since 2018 with a variety of companies from the US & around the world. Italian is my first language but I'm also fluent in English and Spanish. My love for languages, history and art, mixed with my 20+ years of professional experience on stage and my outgoing, friendly personality make me a warm and fun tour guide who can connect with people from all walks of live to provide an AUTHENTIC and UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. I am a proud Sicilian, wife to my wonderful husband and best friend Joe, a dog and cat mom with a deep love for pets and animals in general. I am a foodie and a bit of a goofball. I am a Buddhist and I'm very passionate about social justice. You can say I'm radically inclusive :) I believe happiness is true only if shared and I look forward to sharing my happiness with you! My tours: I offer a variety of walking tours that can be customized to fit your curiosity and desires. When you book a tour with me you know that's YOUR tour and that in me you will find a guide and a friend who's flexible to accommodate your needs. I'll share tips with you on what to do in your free time, where to eat or shop and how to maximize your time making the best of your visit. I truly enjoy my work as a tour guide & taking people around the city I love and that I call home. I'm confident I can make you fall in love with it too. I can't wait to meet you! - NYC Licensed Tour Guide - Batchelor Degree in Music - Professional performer for 20+ years I do not drive in NYC and I don't have a car, but what's more New Yorker than that? We can take the Subway, call Uber or stop a taxi with a finger just as seen on TV :)

Come with me on an exciting exploration of the geographical centre of Manhattan, with its famous buildings such as Flatiron, Empire State, The New York Public Library, Grand Central Terminal, the Chrysler, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick Cathedral as well as iconic locations such as Times Square and Central Park. With this tour we will touch on some of the must-see places in the city as I help you get familiarized with the geography and urban structure of the island of Manhattan. As a licensed guide, I will provide commentary on the amazing architectural eclecticism of Manhattan and help you get acquainted with the 1811 grid plan, so you learn to navigate its streets and avenues. We will also stroll along 5th Avenue and its luxury stores up to Central Park, the most visited urban park in the United States with over 40 million visitors a year, where we'll enjoy some of its main attractions.
-Ideally, we'd gather at our tour's first spot to visit: the Flatiron Building, one of New York's first "skyscrapers" - I'll explain the air quotes when I see you ;) -We'll then walk up 5ave, passing by the Empire State Building, the most iconic high-rise in the Big Apple, plus NY Public Library. -Later, we'll head west to Bryant Park & the madness of Times Square! -Afterwards, we'll make our way east to Grand Central Terminal to enjoy its Beaux Arts style and take in the view of my favourite skyscraper, the Chrysler Building. -If you'd like to, Grand Central Terminal can be a great spot for a little coffee break and to grab a quick snack while enjoying its iconic structure. -Then back to 5ave passing by Rockefeller Center & St. Patrick Cathedral up to The Plaza Hotel & Central Park. -Next, we'll take a relaxing walk inside of Central Park as I talk about its history. -At last, we'll proceed to see highlights like Alice in Wonderland, Bethesda Fountain & Strawberry Fields, the John Lennon Memorial.

I recommend meeting at the pedestrian plaza in front of the Flatiron Building. However if you'd rather meet me at your hotel or at any other location, that can be arranged. Travel time from agreed upon location to Flatiron Building is included in the tour duration and it might affect the itinerary.
