Hello! My name is Paula and I want to welcome you to my dear New York City, a cosmopolitan hub of innovation and lights. I came to NYC by way of Boston MA, Italy, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina where I was born. Living in different continents and traveling from the age of 5 years old gave me the opportunity to learn different languages and cultures. These experiences have deepened my passion for photography, history, architecture, and different cuisines. I could show you NYC in a unique way, through the eyes of a current local who sees the Statue of Liberty every day through her window pane as a world traveler who dreamt of seeing that same statue. Licensed NYC Tour Guide CPR and FIRST AID & AED Certified I am not a driver. But I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

This experience is the best way to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island! Standing under something magnificent and wonderful like the Statue of Liberty makes you feel like you really have an important part in this world. When I was in elementary school in Argentina, my dream was to see and live across the Statue of Liberty, and now I not only can see her from my apartment windows while I drink my coffee but I can also show her to millions of people who cherish her ideals and travel from other countries and cities to meet her in person! On this tour, I'll tell you about why the Statue was created, how it was built, and the significance it has for NY, the USA, and the world! Every time I pass in front of the Statue of Liberty I feel so lucky and emotional because this was a dream for millions of people including myself, Miss Liberty symbolizes the possibilities of a new life, freedom, inspiration, and hope!
· I suggest starting early in the morning to avoid long lines and large crowds that typically gather at midday. We meet at Castle Clinton in Battery Park and I'll tell you all about the Castle. · Before departing we go through a protocol security process, (if we start early, it's usually swifter). · Here we go· towards The Statue of Liberty, enjoying the NYC skyline and the view of Miss Liberty from the boat. · On arrival we'll visit the Island, where you'll be able to take photos and dive deep into its history and visit the new museum where you can see the original torch. · Later, we can make a stop at the island's Cafe and/or visit the gift shop. · Next, we'll be ready to take the ferry boat to Ellis Island. · Once we get there, I'll guide you through the history of US immigration while visiting that island's museum. · In the end, we'll be ready to take the last ferry that will bring us back to Manhattan. This itinerary can be customized upon request. (limit 1024 characters - 51

This tour requires boarding the ferry 3 times to reach all destinations. In between we will also be walking in-between ferry rides. Additionally, I will provide information about the Immigration Museum outside the building as they no longer accept tour guides from outside. I can accompany you inside the museum or wait for you outside, whichever you prefer.
