Ciao! I'm Laura, a Sicilian jazz vocalist & songwriter turned New Yorker tour guide. I'm a total extrovert, I love meeting people and sharing not only the Highlights of this magical city but also my personal experiences as an immigrant to the Big Apple. I am always up for a heart-to-heart conversation, funny jokes and to take your pictures ;) What are you waiting for? Come discover NYC with me! About me: I'm an award-winning songwriter and jazz singer born and raised in Sicily, Italy. I landed in New York City in 2010 and fell in love with its rough and electric vibe. I moved to the Big Apple to work as a performer, and to make ends meet I've also held jobs as a private teacher, baby sitter, waitress, translator, personal assistant at the university level, and columnist, until in 2018 I started working as a tour guide. That was a game changer for me, for in tourism I found a great new love! I am a licensed NYC sightseeing tour guide and have been working regularly since 2018 with a variety of companies from the US & around the world. Italian is my first language but I'm also fluent in English and Spanish. My love for languages, history and art, mixed with my 20+ years of professional experience on stage and my outgoing, friendly personality make me a warm and fun tour guide who can connect with people from all walks of live to provide an AUTHENTIC and UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. I am a proud Sicilian, wife to my wonderful husband and best friend Joe, a dog and cat mom with a deep love for pets and animals in general. I am a foodie and a bit of a goofball. I am a Buddhist and I'm very passionate about social justice. You can say I'm radically inclusive :) I believe happiness is true only if shared and I look forward to sharing my happiness with you! My tours: I offer a variety of walking tours that can be customized to fit your curiosity and desires. When you book a tour with me you know that's YOUR tour and that in me you will find a guide and a friend who's flexible to accommodate your needs. I'll share tips with you on what to do in your free time, where to eat or shop and how to maximize your time making the best of your visit. I truly enjoy my work as a tour guide & taking people around the city I love and that I call home. I'm confident I can make you fall in love with it too. I can't wait to meet you! - NYC Licensed Tour Guide - Batchelor Degree in Music - Professional performer for 20+ years I do not drive in NYC and I don't have a car, but what's more New Yorker than that? We can take the Subway, call Uber or stop a taxi with a finger just as seen on TV :)

Join me for a leisurely stroll touching on New York highlights such as Hudson Yards and the Vessel, plus Chelsea Market, Little Island, as well as the West and Greenwich Village with stops at Magnolia Bakery and the stunning Washington Square Park! In addition to these, one of the main places we will explore is the iconic High Line, which opened to the public in 2014. This 1. 45-mile-long elevated green-way and rail trail has rapidly become one of Manhattan's most beloved parks, attracting international visitors and New Yorkers alike as well as world-renowned architects. Around this area, we'll see plenty of creative luxury condos too! This 1930's elevated railroad offers a unique perspective of New York, serving as a tribute to both the City's urban life and naturalistic richness. With hundreds of different plants and trees, the beautiful views of the Hudson River and the neighbouring New Jersey coast, the relaxing atmosphere of the High Line is as captivating as its fascinating history.
-Ideally, we would gather at our tour's first visited point: Hudson Yards, a development area inaugurated in 2019. -From there we will access the High Line and walk south to make a stop at the fascinating industrial throwback of Chelsea Market with its stores and cafes. -We will then visit Little Island, one of New York City's newest parks with its panoramic views suspended on the Hudson. -We will enjoy a stroll down the cobblestone-paved streets of the Meatpacking District, one of Manhattan's trendiest neighbourhoods once known for its slaughterhouses and factories. -We will continue south towards to the absolute jams that are the West and Greenwich Village, to enjoy the gorgeous streets filled with brownstones and trees. -At Bleecker Street we could stop by the famous Magnolia Bakery, as seen on Sex and the City! They are mostly known for their flowery cupcakes but my heart belongs to the banana pudding ;) -Our tour will end at Washington Square Park, one of my absolute favourite places in New York.

20 Hudson Yards, New York, New York, 10001, United States
I recommend meeting at Hudson Yards in front of The Vessel, a beautiful metallic structure that looks like a beehive. However if you'd rather meet me at your hotel or at any other location, that can be arranged. Travel time from agreed upon location to Hudson Yards is included in the tour duration and it might affect the itinerary.
