As a local New Yorker, this is among my absolute favorite places in the city, one that I explore regularly. I have wandered every path, and read countless books on its history, art, and future to ensure that you get the most personalized experience possible. Your walking tour will start at Grand Army Plaza and continue on through Central Park. I will show you all the highlights of the park at a leisurely pace. You will learn the amazing history of this massive park, with my personally curated selection of historic photos for reference. Stops will include: -The Pond -The Arsenal -The promenade alongside the Central Park Zoo -Famous sculptures such as the Women's Rights Pioneers Monument, Balto, and the Angel of the Waters -Central Park Mall and Literary Walk -Bethesda Terrace: the greatest work of art in the park -The Lake and Boathouse -The wooded Ramble -Bow Bridge -Cherry Hill -Strawberry Fields As you walk, I will point out the highlights of the park (from the well-known to the smaller secrets), take your questions, and show you the best photo spots. You will never see New York the same way again! Tour ends on the Upper West Side, by the famous Dakota apartments.
