An accredited storyteller with an acute interest in local Celtic mythology, let me guide you around cascading waterfalls, rugged mountains, secluded beaches and charming coastal villages via roads almost as old the Glens themselves. To say I am passionate about guiding tourists through this area is an understatement. I have been doing it on a voluntary basis since childhood and believe totally in my ability as a guide as much as I believe that the Glens of Antrim are unsurpassed in terms of scenery anywhere in the world. Do you know that the Antrim Coast Road was once voted the 5th most scenic drive in the world? I invite you to a leisurely drive through the unspoiled Glens of Antrim, hugging the coastline, stopping in charming coastal villages, along the Antrim Coast Road. What I find fascinating about this tour is that you'll see enchanted waterfalls and pristine beaches but also you'll experience the mountains clad in heather and gorse while you listen tales from our history of battles and warriors. You will visit ruined castles and churches where dark deeds will fascinate. You will learn how farming developed on the steep rugged slopes of the Glens. Get "up close and personal" with some of the animals used in agriculture here-cattle and sheep. You will go to a local shellfish farm, where you can handle a live lobster or crab as you learn about a once-thriving sector of the Glens economy-seafaring and fishing. A day to remember, don't you think?

John was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He even took us to his brothers house to pet their sheep, which I absolutely loved. The ride was beautiful and picturesque. Besides the wonderful views and learning, John was an overall very nice and friendly person and I enjoyed my conversations with him immensely. We had previously seen major sites of Belfast, including many sites out of town such as The Giant's Causeway. We wanted a customized tour of more out of town sites with gardens, smaller villages, and coastal towns. John put a good day together with suggestions and modifying the itinerary as the day progressed. Having a degree in Irish history brought a lot to our day.
What an amazing day tour we enjoyed with John Robbin. From Belfast we traveled along coastal villages, rocky escarpments, into the green glens, and up to Giants Causeway. John's love of his home glens and Irish roots added much enhancement to our day. His knowledge of the countryside and history of this area is second to none. Our small personal tour was made special by visits to little local hidden gems including fairy trees and waterfalls. We highly recommend his tour.
The suggested itinerary will be the following: - Leave Belfast at the agreed meeting point location. - Head North towards Glenarm. - Then take the slow road through the villages of . Carnlough. . Waterfoot. . Cushendall. . Cushendun. . The Town of Ballycastle in the North East of Northern Ireland. - Stop in a quaint restaurant surrounded by waterfalls for lunch/ tea. - Back to Belfast. Tour ends. The suggested itinerary can be altered even while on tour to fit your expectations. Depending on time we will take as many rest breaks and photo stops as possible.
