Barry guided us from Belfast to Derry and for someone like me who is very interested in the history of the North of Ireland it was an excellent choice. He knows everything about the history of his country and he lived through its very difficult times. so he could bring his personal experience to what he told us. Derry is a lovely city, so it was a great pleasure to visit it as well as we did with Barry. We also took a brief trip to Donegal before coming back to Belfast. We definitely recommend him.

Barry took us on an amazingly informative trip from Belfast to Derry where we learned about Bloody Sunday and the events leading up to and following it. We also learned about life in Derry today. He then took us to a stone circle in County Donegal, an interesting side trip. Barry was informative and transparent. The trip was well organized for maximum tour benefit. Barry led us on a fascinating visit to Derry. His knowledge of and passion for Irish history made the experience very memorable. In addition to the fascinating walk through the Free Derry Museum and surrounding neighborhood, Barry located a church to visit where my ancestor was baptized. A visit to the ring fort of Grianan Of Aileach capped off a very meaningful tour. It was a great day and a very personalized experience. I'd highly recommend this.

This was an excellent and very comprehensive tour of Derry/Londonderry, from the early history of the city (including walking the walls), to a walk in the Bogside at the site of Bloody Sunday, to the more recent Peace Flame and Peace Bridge. Barry was a terrific guide, whose insights on both the Troubles and the current political situation made for a fascinating trip. Highly recommended!

- Derry, also known as Londonderry, is a city on the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. It's known for the intact 17th-century Derry's Walls with 7 gates Within the walls, spired St. Columb's Cathedral displays artefacts from the 1688-9 Siege of Derry. Near the Peace Bridge, the Tower Museum has city views and historical exhibits. Huge stained-glass windows adorn the neo-Gothic red sandstone Guildhall. We will also do our own Private Bloody Sunday Walking Tour in the Bogside as well as visiting Free Derry Corner - After lunch we will walk the walls which constitute the largest monument in State care in Northern Ireland and, as the last walled city to be built in Europe, stands as the most complete and spectacular - The Walls were built in 1613-1619 by The Honourable The Irish Society as defences for early 17th century settlers from England and Scotland. We will also cross the The Peace Bridge. The Derry Peace Bridge spans 400 years of a physical and political divide in Northern Ireland symbolizing peace
