Also, we will go on a trip to the Guildhall to see the interactive exhibition on the Ulster Plantation, and see the organ. Visit the border to County Donegal which is in the Republic of Ireland and still part of the European Union to see the Magnificent Grianán of Aileach (Extra £50). This is a truly unique tour. - Derry is a city on the River Foyle in Northern Ireland. It's known for the intact 17th-century Derry's Walls with 7 gates. Within the walls, spired St. Columb's Cathedral displays artifacts from the 1688-9 Siege of Derry. Near the Peace Bridge, the Tower Museum has city views and historical exhibits. Huge stained-glass windows adorn the neo-Gothic red sandstone Guildhall. We will also do our own Private Bloody Sunday Walking Tour in the Bogside as well as visit Free Derry Corner. - After lunch, we will walk the walls which constitute the largest monument in State care in Northern Ireland and, as the last walled city to be built in Europe, stands as the most complete and spectacular - The Walls were built in 1613-1619 by The Honourable The Irish Society as defences for early 17th century settlers from England and Scotland. - We will also cross the Peace Bridge.
