Jamel is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area and its history and his talks about Tunis and Carthage were fascinating. He was also very considerate of my mother who is 94 and accommodating of the needs of our group. His driver, Mohammed, was terrific in nevigating the large van through tiny streets. We had a great day!
Jamel is a very good guide - he pointed out the historical sites in Carthage- and we enjoyed our walk and local food treat in Sidi Baid Soule - then the drive into town - and the old Parisian boulevard - were a delightful look back in more recent times. During this drive Jamel seemed more relaxed -and talked with us about education in Tunisia - as well as explaining the large crowds of cars around some of the mosques we were passing ( it was Friday afternoon). We enjoyed out time with him . I would recommend Jamel for your visit to Tunisia- especially if you are on a cruise.
Jamal was on time and the van was very comfortable. He explained the order of the tour and gave his reasons for doing it in that order. We went to everywhere we wanted to go. Carthage, Sidi, Bardo museau, Bazaar. His knowledge of histoery was great and interesting.. We wrer able to spend more time in some and less time in others. He treated us to delicious fried dough in Sidi and lunch near thwe bazaar. I would highly recommend him. We had a great day.
Our first time to use Tours-by-Locals and we are glad we did. Jamel picked us up in a nice spacious van on time as scheduled. He showed us the sights and was happy to adjust the itinerary when we offered suggestions or made requests. Jamel was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and past history. He was very good at pointing out the special highlights of the places we stopped. It was one of the best private tours my family and I have had. We recommend others to consider this tour when visiting Tunis.
Had a great time on our tour. Highly recommend Jamel as a guide. He is well versed with the history of Tunis and it was such a pleasure to be his guest Thank again Jamel!
