Even if you only have one day in Tunis, you would be surprised at how much you can get out of this day! With years of experience behind me as an official Tunisia tour guide, I have designed this tour to enable you to discover the top monuments of ancient city of Kairouan. I will show you around the city where I was born and grew up, the Great Mosque, the Medina with its ancient marketplace, the tomb of Sidi Sahab and the Aghlabid Basins. In El Jem, we will visit the most spectacular Roman amphitheatre in North Africa. I have studied art and history and booking my tour means that you have an expert at your side. On this tour you can extend or shorten the duration of one visit to do more exploring in another one as per your convenience. I know the best way to arrange the day and I'm highly flexible for accommodating all your needs.

Our tour to Kairouan and El Jem was another fantastic experience after previously spending a day with Taha at Dougga. Once again, Taha was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. His storytelling made the rich history of both places come alive, and we appreciated learning something about Tunisian humour! :) Travelling with a wheelchair, we were very appreciative of how thoughtful and proactive the guide was. He ensured accessibility wherever possible and helped us navigate each site comfortably. The driver was also extremely competent and careful, making the whole journey smooth and stress-free. It was a perfect balance of history, culture, and comfort. We learned so much and felt completely at ease throughout the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tunisia.
We spent a wonderful day with Taha exploring some of Tunisia’s most fascinating sites. He was punctual, well organised, and shared his knowledge with clarity and insight, giving us a much better understanding of the country’s history and culture. We particularly enjoyed the way he combined historical context with practical tips, such as the best spots for photos or where to enjoy a good coffee. After his explanations, Taha often allowed us time to explore independently, which gave us space to take things in at our own pace, while still feeling well looked after. Highlights for us included the impressive El Jem amphitheater, the mosaic museum, and our visit to Kairouan with the Great Mosque and the tomb of Sidi Sahab. Overall, it was a smooth, enriching, and memorable experience, and we’re grateful to Taha for making the day so enjoyable.
Though I am in wheelchair, I and my wife were able to enjoy the tour. Since he assisted me whenever I needed, I felt safe all the way. His quality of guide itself was really good. So I am very grateful I could join his tour. A+
Taha would get a 5 star rating from me. He was very helpful when I was planning a trip for my wife Connie. he promptly answered all my questions and provided excellent service for the two rips that he took her on. I plan to visit Tunisia with my wife and we will plan to use Taha as our guide.
The tour was very interesting and Taha is an execellent guide, sharing lots of information about Tunisia's ancient and recent history. We highly recommend both the tour and Tara as a guide. Jan and Lene, Denmark
