Highlights of Tunisia - Multi day private tour

We had a fantastic 7 day tour with Jamel driving app. 1200 km in a round trip of Tunisia. The sites were really interesting, both the old Roman ruins which were well kept, the Berber villages and the desert in south Tunisia. Jamel was very knowledgeable and made our trip very enjoyable. He is an excellent driver and was very relaxed with a good sense of humor. We have travelled a lot (more than 80 countries) and have not meet any guides better than Jamel. We loved our tour in Tunisia. Jamel was very friendly and knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He took us to many impressive places and taught us a lot about Tunisian culture and traditions. He was flexible and worked with our schedule. We would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting this beautiful country.

Jamel exceeded all our expectations. He was on time every day and made us feel right at home. We always felt safe and looked after when he was with us which was amazing as two young female travellers. Jamel is incredibly knowledgeable. Every place we went we learned so much about the history and culture of Tunisia (He could even read Latin upside down!) Jamel was super easy to work with and always happy to answer all of our questions! On our tour he always made sure we had everything we needed and spoiled us with snacks and local food at every stop! It was wonderful as we were able to try food we never would have been brave enough to try on our own. Overall, Jamel was incredibly easy to work with and made our tour unforgettable. If you want a guide who is well-prepared, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring, Jamel is the one to choose. Highly recommended!

Jamel is an excellent guide with detailed knowledge of the history of the various cultures (Berber, Carthaginian, Roman, Vandalic, Islamic, etc.) that have shaped Tunisia. He is also an astute observer of contemporary culture. He is familiar with a wide range of hotels and restaurants, speaks fluent English, and has friends throughout the country. He is also a fine troubleshooter (e.g., helped us find medicine on short notice) and a careful and safe driver. He has our highest recommendation.

My husband and I considered several options for touring: self-directed/self-driving, pre-packaged private tour, or a customizable tour by Jamel. I am really glad we selected the third option as he drove, making the trip more relaxing for us; he knew the best sites to see and for how long; he adapted to us; and, Jamel, and the people he introduced us to at various sites, shared stories of themselves, their culture, and their history. This last point is what makes Jamel the perfect tour guide.

Jamel was a wonderful guide who provided us with many insights into the monuments, sites and culture of Tunisia, and who was able to readily adapt our tour to our interests.
