Hola! I'm Maria Antonietta, I'm Italian, and come from the beautiful island of Sardinia, in the center of the Mediterranean, where I completed my University studies in of Cultural Heritage. After spending a few months in Ireland, I decided to return to Sardinia to work as a receptionist in a four-star hotel in a seaside town. Although I liked the job, I felt that it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do. My idea was to become a tour guide to help making the island better known, so I took a course and then the exam to obtain the tour guide license in 2015. My passion is traveling and during one of my trips I visited Valencia which immediately made me feel at home. The city won me over with its architecture, its liveliness, and the kindness of its inhabitants so I thought about moving. I took "the big step" in 2019, I completed a Master's Degree in Cultural Heritage at the University of Valencia and I asked for the recognition of the title of tourist guide to be able to work. And here I am, happy with my choice! During the guided tour, I try to convey my passion for the work I do and for this wonderful city that has so much to offer. It can offer you a pleasant walk through history, from the Roman period, through the fascinating Islamic period, of which numerous traces can still be seen, the Middle Ages up to modern-day Valencia, with its festivals and traditions. Whether you are a lover of history and architecture or simply want to enjoy the city in total relaxation, I am here to guide you.
