This region served as a refuge for Jewish communities from other areas, preserving one of the few remaining Jewish legacies in this part of Spain. In the morning, we travel back in time to Sagunto, a key strategic site for Iberians, Carthaginians, Romans, and later Jewish communities. From afar, through Valencia orange orchads, you will glimpse the fortress where Hannibal and his elephants besieged the city on his march to Rome. The visit may include the Archaeological Museum ( Iberian and Roman) the restored Roman Theatre and the hilltop castle. Traces of its Jewish heritage, including the mikveh, the ancient arch, and the presence of mezuza that once marked the doorways of Jewish homes. Return to Valencia for a panoramic drive, with optional stops . If time allows, enjoy a walk through the Cathedral area, Central Market, the magnificent the Silk Exchange building, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Squares and/or extend your experience with tapas or a traditional paella.
Carolina customized this tour to our desires, and worked exceedingly well with me to understand the pricing for this tour, which was highly appreciated. She loves this area and is proud to show it to you. Unfortunately, the day of our tour was brutally hot, and we had to ask her to cut the tour short, so she was not allowed to show us everything she wanted us to see. Carolina has the best rsume of any tour guide I have worked with on over 100 private tours.
Carolina was our guide to Sagunto and Valencia. We are so happy we stopped in Sagunto; it is a smallish town with a beautiful Roman theater. We looked at the remnants of the Jewish Community that once thrived there. Valencia was where we experienced the beautiful Cathedral .We also saw the Silk Market as well as a piece of the Roman Street. All in all, Carolina was able to give us what we set out to see. We had a great day with her.

The day was wonderful, full of exceptional insights and great recommendations. She went out of her way making sure that all of our needs were met. We would not hesitate to have her guide us again.
Carolina was a gracious guide and generous with her time. She brought us to a wonderful restaurant she had experienced for a paella lunch. We learned about the historic origins of Valencia and on our walking tour of Segundo; we were occasionally overwhelmed by the amount of information she shared. The car she had rented provided navigation challenges but it all worked out.

Carolina recommended that we change our itinerary based on traffic so that we could spend more time in Valencia! She did a nice job of spending the day with us and making sure that we saw the important sights. She found a very nice small restaurant to experience authentic paella! She was a pleasure to be with!
