Hello! My name is Blanca, and I am an architect with a PhD specializing in heritage, urban studies, and Andalusi architecture. My story is deeply intertwined with Granada and the Alhambra, as I come from one of the few families who have lived within its ancient walls for generations. I grew up calling this monumental complex my home, an extraordinary playground and a place that shaped my passion for architecture, history, and preservation. Inspired by this unique upbringing, I pursued a Master’s in Architecture and Historic Heritage, and later completed my PhD at the University of Granada. My professional experience includes restoration and enhancement projects in the Alhambra and other historic cities, as well as years of teaching and research at prestigious universities. Additionally, I am a member of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism, driven by my passion for local products and Andalusian wines. This diverse background has given me profound insight into the hidden details of my homeland, allowing me to share its rich culture in a truly immersive way. I offer carefully designed tours of Granada and the Alhambra, tailored for inquisitive travelers who appreciate moving at a relaxed pace to savor every space and story. Beyond Granada, I also organize immersive experiences and itineraries across Andalusia, sharing its diverse culture, architecture and cuisine from a close and personal perspective. With me, you’ll explore Granada as if you were accompanied by a local friend and passionate expert, someone who truly loves Andalusia and wants you to fall in love with it, too. Let me show you the captivating history, and essence of my home—an unforgettable experience awaits!

Do you imagine doing a flamenco tour with an expert and a singer who will sing some examples from the oldest types of songs to the newest just for us? In Granada the evolution of flamenco has created a unique phenomenon: the Zambra, which has a major importance in the development of great universal artists from Granada. During the 19th Century the taverns became full of amateurs, which was the key to keeping the tradition of singing. The opening of the first business Zambra took place towards the end of this period, and it was the beginning of a new era. All this is part of a rich history which began at the end of the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, but mainly after the expel of the Muslims from Spain. The visit includes important sites for the flamenco of Granada, which goes along with a 'cantaor' (flamenco singer).
On this tour we will visit: -The façade of the house where Enrique Morente was born. -Peña de la Plateria (the oldest flamenco association of the world), -Sacromonte—the neighborhood where Flamenco is traditionally performed in cave houses carved into the mountains, a unique phenomenon found only in Granada. -Aditionally, I can recommend a traditional flamenco show that would need to be booked in advance and it is not included in the tour (30€ per person). This is a suggested itinerary, let me know what you would like to see and do and I will customize the tour accordingly.
