Hello and welcome to Durban! My name is Paul and I'm a true Durbanite! Sun, great warm sea and Golden beaches, what more can you ask for? I love the warm climate we have and the proximity to so many great tour venues. I've been living in Durban since I was 13. I've grown up with a love for the outdoors. Camping, fishing, cooking are a few of the things that excite me. I'm a great Sports enthusiast with Rugby at the top of my list. I'm a nature specialist and my passion goes way back to my childhood. I attended a boarding school in the mountains in amongst the farms and quickly learnt about wildlife. All things natural are special to me from grasses and insects to the magnificent Elephants and Mountains. Although I can follow a routine I like to be flexible, especially with private groups. I'm passionate about the Durban Safaris I run but also the Durban Day tours like Durban city Tours and Valley Of 1000 Hills. Guiding to me is a passion, not just a cool way to make a living! Come take a ride with Me and we will discover a few things, new and magical, together. FGASA level 1 NQF level 4, Nature and Cultural registered with edtea registered with Ezemvelo My vehicle holds up to 9 passengers but it's more comfortable with 6. Larger vehicle can be arranged Open Safari vehicle comes with qualified drivers so cannot drive them. I'm only fluent in English, although I can have a conversation in Afrikaans.

We visit Tala private game reserve and enjoy Game drives searching for animals. It does not have the "Big 5" but does have Hippo, Giraffe, Rhinos, zebra and many more. We will spend about 3 hours here seeing what we can find. Just before lunch we drive into Valley of a thousand hills where we can get some lunch with breathtaking views. We arrive at Phezulu Safari Park and cultural center perched on to of a hill overlooking the Valley Of 1000 Hills. First visit the reptile park and maybe hold a baby crocodile or snake then on to the Cultural show. You will experience Zulu customs when a young man proposes to a girl and we follow their traditional journey and dancing to their marriage.
Paul was punctual and knowledgeable. He very graciously rearraged our tody the day of because our ship was two hours late. We absolutely loved our visit to the Hidden Forest Wildlife Sanctuary and seeing lemus, monkeys, and daike. Thank you Paul for a great time.

Paul took us on an excursion from our cruise ship. We disembarked early and he was there. He had to rearrange the schedule to accommodate a Zulu show out of town, and he made it all work. We did the Durban highlights and multiple stops in the city including the markets and botanical gardens. He was an excellent and personable guide who made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed our Durban tour with him.

If I could give this Tour guide and this tour a 10 +, I would!! Paul picked us up promptly. His communication from the time of booking was constant and responsive. Our cruise ship's arrival was 9 am, which is a late start for safaris but Paul answered my query saying we could definitely try for 3 safari parks. We were able to do all the safaris and Paul was eager to get as close as possible to the animals at each park. He took us to a place where we could touch and feed elephants! Don't hesitate to book.
We changed a few things on our schedule, and he was more than willing to accommodate us. We communicated through email and phone ahead of time. Our only issue was our pickup point had changed and so a phone call had to be made the day off to remind him that that change. He was very nice and did everything he could to get us places safely, and on time. We would use him again if we go back. Great tour, good time!
I will pick you up from your selected venue and we will proceed to Tala, about a 40 minute drive. Upon arrival we will begin our 2 hour drive with so many animals to see. Giraffe, zebra, Hippos and many more. After our game drive we will head to valley of 1000 hills to enjoy the scenery and find a spot for lunch (own account). Phezulu Cultural village has time slots and we will arrange to fit in to 1 of those. Normally mid afternoon. After some culture we have the option of a reptile park on the same premises. Maybe the Boa constrictor will be out to be held! Some snakes are safe to pick up. Returning to Durban we may stop at a market for some souvenirs. As a half day tour we can begin at 7 or 8am or after lunch at13h30

The transfer vehicle is a Toyota Quantum. This is a spacious, comfortable, air conditioned mini bus. The open Safari vehicle is a Toyota Land cruiser with 9 seats in the back, if available. At other times we will drive in the H-1.
