As a culture/nature tourist guide, I do not simply present facts/figures/attractions to my tourists - I tell a story and try to bring South African culture, society and nature alive to them! I was honoured to be named the Lilizela Awards 2016 Culture Guide of the Year for KwaZulu-Natal Province and was the first runner-up for the Lilizela Awards 2016 Culture Guide of the Year for South Africa. My passion for tourism was ignited from an early age, when as a young boy I would often accompany my father (also a tourist guide) on his many travels throughout South Africa. This passion has evolved over the past 30 years, as I have worked in the industry on a more professional level as a tour manager for Gate 1 Travel and Collette Tours in South Africa/Botswana/Zimbabwe, as well as a national tourist guide/coach driver, tour manager and route planner for major South African tour operators (handling their national tours for SAGA, Travelsphere, Globus, Cosmos Archers and Titan). I also handled many of their contracts with local and international VIPs. In addition to my day tours in Durban and the KwaZulu-Natal Province, I am also very willing to undertake overnight stays to any national South African tourist destination, including Swaziland and Lesotho. I am able to manage any group size, nationality and age. Winner of the South African Lilizela Awards 2016 Culture Guide of the Year for KwaZulu-Natal Province; First Runner-up for the South African Lilizela Awards 2016 Culture Guide of the Year for South Africa; CASTHETA National Tourism (Level 4) Certificate; Drum Beat Academy National Guide (Culture/Nature) Certificate; Chairman of the e-Thekwini Regional Tourist Guides Association and frequent observer at committee meetings of the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Tourist Guides' Association; Former Chairman of the SODURBA Community Tourism Organisation; Delegate/route advisor for the East3Route expedition to KwaZulu-Natal Province/ Mozambique/Swaziland from 2012 to 2014; Former independent assessor on the SATOUR Guide Evaluation Panel.

Spend the day in one of Africa's oldest game reserves tracking the "Big 5" (elephant, lion, leopard, rhinoceros and buffalo) and many other plains game (zebra, giraffe, antelope, warthog, etc) and bird life from the comfort of my closed vehicle or in an open vehicle at an additional cost. Discover the sights, smells and sounds of Africa and nothing beats the vibrant colours of an African sunrise or sunset! I can accommodate single travellers or groups and can also offer this tour as an overnight stay. This tour is also ideal for cruise passengers docked at Richards Bay Harbour.
* Tourists will be fetched from the agreed pick-up point at the agreed time * We commence our drive northwards to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve * I will give a general commentary on the en route scenery, South Africa, Durban and what we are expected to see in the game reserve. I will also allow pauses for tourists who would like to rest or reflect on the en route scenery. * We will stop for a comfort stop at a reputable en route petrol station when we are about 1 to 11/2 hours from the game reserve. The tourists will have the opportunity to purchase hot or cold beverages/snacks and use the very hygienic ablution facilities provided. * Once at the game reserve, we will spend the rest of the day tracking game from my closed vehicle. We will have lunch at a camp (own account). * At about 15H00/16H00, we depart for Durban. * Cruise passengers docked at Richards Bay Harbour will be fetched in the morning and returned in the late afternoon in accordance with the ship's docking and departure times.

I am happy to accommodate single travellers or groups. So, depending on the size of the group, tourists will either travel in an SUV, a 7-seater vehicle or a 13-seater vehicle. All vehicles are new, modern, clean, are fitted with A/C and PA systems and have spacious leg-room.
