When I was a schoolboy I realized I really love sharing my local culture, tradition and history with others, meeting new people and making friends. I was also good at learning English. Thus, all these background made my mind up to study Tourism. In addition, I was born and raised up in a village. Then who better than me can know the local culture and history as I have grown up speaking two languages: Quechua and Spanish, the first one, is our ancestors' language (my mother language too) with about 1. 5K years of speaking widely in the Andes. I have been guiding for the last 7 years. I am so excited to be more than your Tour Guide, a friend to trust in, who can guide you through this mysterious, historical and wonderful city, showcasing you the highlighting points, touring through the places off the beaten and making your journey unforgettable as I am passionate of what I do, because 'guiding' to me is not only a job but rather, a passion to which you (your family/friends) are welcome. What makes my city and country quite interesting are all the inheritances we possess, our ancestors named as Inka's works. Such as archeological sites, terraces, trails, stonework, culture, customs, language, crops and on. Which can be visited on Day/Multi-day customizable trips. I as your Friend-Tour Guide will show and tell you the facts/history/tales behind them. Then, this city should definitely be in your bucket list. As a host of my city and country it is my duty to kindly invite you to come and visit this amazing city and make you have an unforgettable experience. Therefore, since you have many reasons to come along with me, do not hesitate, take your backpack and travel at once; as "Life is a Journey, Never Stop Doing", this is my saying. And let me be your Friend-Tour Guide and customize your trip according to your interests and expectations. Any further inquiry, feel free to reach out Can't wait to meet you! The Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) recently got famous and in this experience we get to know why. Let's see something else which is the Red Valley, an off the beaten hike where just being there is absolutely worthy. Seeing the spectacular natural sedimentary formations of millions of years is rewarding for the hike we do. This tour is a perfect option for those who like hiking, exploring and seeing something else. I will take you to see and appreciate all the nature wonders of this land, passing through small towns and seeing a bit more about the local villagers. Also how your visit impacts them positively affording a better life condition. NOTE: I highly recommend you take this tour on your last day(s) as you firstly have to get used to this altitude condition.
- The trip starts in Cusco with the pickup from your accommodation (hotel or Airbnb) early in the morning (4:30 AM) then we proceed to drive southwards nearly 1. 5 hours in a private car until Cusipata town, where we will have our breakfast. - Then, about 1 more hour of driving up to the start of the hike which takes around 2 hours a distance of 3. 5 KM (about 7 KM round walk), along the way, you will enjoy amazing views of the Andes, glacial peaks, red mountains, and many llamas and alpacas grazing along the path. - As we get closer to the summit of the Rainbow Mt. viewpoint you will begin to see the first signs of the colored sediments that forms the painted hills. Once arriving at the viewpoint of Rainbow Mt. , we will have enough time to enjoy the sight of the majestic Colored mountains that surround this area and also the Ausangate glacier. - After that we hike back to the car parking and the return to Cusco arriving at about 4:30 PM and drop you off at your accommodation.
