When I was a schoolboy I realized I really love sharing my local culture, tradition and history with others, meeting new people and making friends. I was also good at learning English. Thus, all these background made my mind up to study Tourism. In addition, I was born and raised up in a village. The city of Cusco is an impressive and mysterious city, a lot of history with various inheritances. This is an introducing walk in which we talk about the past-modern culture and history of the city and interesting facts about Peru. Also taking you to the highlights of the city that many visitors miss out. Have you ever heard of the Incas? So you will know the Inkan history and culture, as this city was once the capital of that grand civilization, going through streets, alleyway, plazas, Temple of the sun (Qoricancha) and our local market wherein we get to know local stuffs, crops, crafts, medicinal herbs and on.
This was a good introductory tour of Cusco and we are happy we took it. Note—this is a basic tour of the city—you don’t go into any buildings. Since the tour, we have had fun identifying whether a wall is Incan or not. We had fun, learned a lot about Cusco, and got our bearings. Recommend Roger.
We toured Cusco with Roger H in the afternoon following our flight into Cusco. Roger met us at our hotel (Palacio del Inka), flexible with the start time to our needs, and led us on a perfect concise walking tour of historic Cusco. He was relaxed, friendly, well-organized, and informative. He paced the walk very well for us considering the significant altitude effect for us and the many stairways and elevations in Cusco. I highly recommend Roger and the walking tour of Cusco. (We also toured the Sacred Valley with Roger, spread out to over two days).
Roger provided a great overview of Cusco to our group of traveling women. He pointed out major buildings and plazas and historic sites around the area. We also went through the San Pedro market. Roger was flexible whenever we needed to stop for photos, bathrooms, etc. Sometimes it was difficult for the group of eight to hear Roger in a noisy environment, but we shifted around to make it work.
Roger coordinated and developed a 3 day tour including visiting the Sacred Valley, Macchu Pichu and Cusco and it's environs. The tour was everything I could have hoped for. Interesting. Engaging and truly memorable. The history of the Incas and the breathtaking scenery in the Andes is wondrous. Macchu Pichu is a spiritual awakening. Roger planned every moment with precision. He was a great guide and my experiences in Peru were phenomenal.

This is an interesting historical and cultural walk in the city of Cusco that we start from your hotel at 9:00 AM or at 2:00 PM (flexible). We get to know the temple of the sun to talk about the importance that it had in Incan times, the main square and buildings around and how they have been changed over the years. Then, we keep on to our local market, San Pedro wherein we can see the locally-made products such as chocolate, coffee, maca, pisco and crafts including curious stuffs which are part of our local past/present beliefs. So that we finish our tour there around 12:00 PM and around 5:00 PM the afternoon schedule. This itinerary is flexible up to your interests, so feel free to request a tailored tour.
