Quite a few people hike here! It covers a good deal of the Inca Trail, but in less time! This year brings excellent news. The Peruvian tourism authorities have allocated 250 more permits for this trek. As so, practically every date in 2024 is still open! You will see the Inca Site, Chachabamba, during this hike—a sight not found on any other. You will also see an amazing, unnameable waterfall! This hike includes supper at the best local restaurant in Aguas Calientes and overnight at a very beautiful hotel there. If you have kids, get in touch with me so I can meet your needs. Day 1: Cusco, Machu Picchu, Sun Gate, Aguas Calientes, Chachabamba, Km 104, and Wiñay Wayna. Day 2: Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, and Cusco via Aguas Calientes. The details of the two-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu are as follows. The walking distance is 13 kilometers, or 8 miles. The starting altitude is 2, 170 meters, or 7, 170 feet. At the end of the workday, we board a bus to Aguas Calientes for the night. *DAY 2, Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, and Cusco. We'll board an early bus (5:30 a.m.) and travel the twisting route to Machu Picchu to see the dawn after an early breakfast at your hotel. As soon as you get there, I will give you a two-hour walking tour of the location. The world's wonders. In the afternoon, we will board the train again for Ollantaytambo, where I will pick you up.
