This abbreviated version of the world-famous Inca Trail provides a glimpse of the legendary path while also allowing you to experience the region's awe-inspiring beauty and rich history. So, lace up your boots, embrace the spirit of the Incas, and prepare for an unforgettable expedition to the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu. For this adventure, you need to share your passport information (a picture is fine) and request to purchase your Inca trail permits. Please remember to provide me with a specific time and alternative dates, as the Inca Trail typically has a full booking.
Your Cusco tour itinerary
Day 1: Inca Trail Hike Depart from Cusco and travel to the starting point of the trail, known as KM 104. Begin the trek, passing through beautiful landscapes and fascinating ruins along the way. After approx. 3 hours, arrive at the archaeological site of Wiñay Wayna, adorned with terraces and surrounded by lush vegetation. Later, continue the trek to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), the iconic entrance to Machu Picchu. Witness its breathtaking panoramic views. We descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, the town located at the base of Machu Picchu. Check into your hotel, enjoy a well-deserved dinner, and rest up for an early start the next day. Day 2: Machu Picchu Wake up early to catch the first buses up to Machu Picchu. Arrive at the citadel and witness the sunrise over this magnificent ancient city. As we explore the main highlights of Machu Picchu, I will provide insights into its history. architectural and cultural significance. After the guided tour, you'll head down to the train station and back to CUSCO.
