Hello!! My name is Gustavo and I am a professional tour guide in the city of Cusco and its surroundings. I grew up in a small village out of Cusco city then and moved to the town because of education and better opportunities. When I was in high school I realized that I really loved archaeology, history, culture, and traditions. Then I started to study English at an institute and also tourism to become a tour guide and of course always keeping in mind the opportunity of sharing the richness of my culture, traditions, and history of this city with my customers. Then I worked in a nice place with native people from local communities to learn more. I have been guiding for the last 8 years but have always worked in tourism-related places. I started to study tourism because of my passion for history, archaeology, and culture. My favourite tours are the Cusco City tour, Sacred Valley tour, Moray and Maras Salt Ponds, South Valley tour, Machu Picchu full-day tour, Rainbow Mountain, and Humantay Lake of course, I can create tailor-made tours depending on the time you have. I have a great understanding of architecture, art, music, and gastronomy. I share my kindness and my knowledge of my amazing culture. Also as a tour guide, I am dedicated to providing my customers with an unforgettable travel experience. If you're looking for an expert guide to show you around the Cusco region and create memories just let me know and let me handle it. With me, you will have an excellent experience on your tours. I provide wonderful customized experiences. Come with me and discover places as nobody else does. Just tell me what you want. I also prefer my tours to do the talking, when you embark on an adventure with me you will experience firsthand the dedication and commitment I bring to my work. The wonderful Cusco city (world cultural heritage since 1983 ) is located in southern Peru, 11, 200 feet above sea level. Cusco City is very famous because of the most important Inca archaeological sites such as Saqsaywaman (megalithic buildings) The stones in the walls are incredible and the largest one weighs over 130 tons. Qenqo which is considered an amazing temple advocated the mummification process and also some temples such as Qoricancha (Inca Sun Temple) and the Convent of Saint Dominic. The convent was built on the spectacular Qoricancha, which translates to ‘enclosure of gold.’ This was the most important temple dedicated to the sun, the walls were lined with solid sheets of gold, after this place, we visit the amazing cathedral, where we will find the most beautiful art, such as canvases and altarpieces from colonial times.
At 9 am or 1 pm, we will meet you at the lobby of the hotel. From here, we will go to the Qoricancha, the most important Inca temple where we will also find other enclosures for their different deities such as rainbow, thunder-lightning, and stars. Then we will go to the cathedral of Cusco which is considered one of the most important cathedrals in South America where we will have the chance to see the baroque art and also some other styles on altarpieces and canvas. After the cathedral, we will go to Saqsaywaman, an Inca site. In Sacsayhuaman, with its enigmatic megalithic buildings, we will find monoliths of 120 to 200 tons. Once we finish this place, we will take a van ride to Q'enqo Inca site to see its fascinating Incan altars where inkas used to take the process of mummification. At the end, we will drive back to Cusco (the main square or your hotel) where the tour ends.
