Hi, I’m Mariella, a proud Maltese local, born and raised on the Mediterranean island of Malta. I live in the historic area of the Three Cities, where the Knights of Malta first established their base when they arrived here in the 16th century. This was long before they crossed the Grand Harbour to build the iconic city of Valletta. The Three Cities, are rich in history and offer a fascinating glimpse into Malta’s past, with winding streets, ancient forts and a blend of cultures that have shaped the island over centuries. Educated in Malta, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for our heritage, culture, and traditions. This passion inspired me to become a tour guide, sharing the hidden stories, beautiful landmarks and unique experiences that make Malta such a captivating destination. Whether you're exploring the impressive fortifications of the Three Cities, learning about the Knights of St. John, or discovering the island's fascinating blend of cultures, I look forward to showing you the Malta I know and love. During our tour, we’ll also take time to indulge in one of Malta's beloved street food traditions, the iconic pastizzi! These delicious pastry treats filled with ricotta cheese or peas are a true taste of local life and no visit to Malta would be complete without sampling them.
