Pompeii Revealed - Private Guided Tour - a time trip with an expert in Archeology

Marcello U. is a class act — and an exceptional guide. He made our visit to Pompeii the highlight of our trip. His knowledge of Pompeii is extraordinary, but what really stood out was his passion and enthusiasm for Pompeii, Naples, and the art, archaeology, and culture of the region. Marcello brings history to life. He shared fascinating stories about both ancient and modern Pompeii. His vivid descriptions helped us imagine what life was like in Pompeii in 79 A.D., rather than simply seeing the ruins as a collection of ancient buildings. He also took the time to listen to our questions and interests and thoughtfully tailored the tour to us. We were particularly interested in the culture of the time, the city's topography, and the geological and climatic forces behind the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, and Marcello incorporated all of these into the tour. He was also attentive to practical details, helping us avoid unnecessary crowds and excessive sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and we highly recommend Marcello.

Marcello was incredible and had a great depth of knowledge about Pompeii. He took us to all the great spots (including one incredible one that he worked on as an archeology student) and taught us far more about the city than we expected. On top of his great historical knowledge, he knew exactly where to stop so we could find some shade while he taught us about various points of interest because it was very hot when we went. At the end of the tour, he told us some additional spots to check out since we had more time before our return to Napoli and gave us some great restaurant recommendations. I would definitely do another tour with him!
