We will visit local spots to taste these creamy delights, often still warm, along with the traditional Vizzini sausage, seasoned with wild fennel. This is a true "farm-to-table" experience in the heart of the Val di Noto. After satisfying our palates, we move to Caltagirone, a UNESCO site famous for its thousand-year-old pottery tradition. You’ll be mesmerized by the colors of the Scalinata di Santa Maria del Monte, 142 steps covered in hand-painted majolica. We will wander through ceramic workshops and Baroque churches, blending the rustic charm of rural Sicily with the artistic grandeur of its cities. 09:00 AM – Departure: Pickup from your location in a comfortable, private vehicle. 10:00 AM – Vizzini: Literature & Tasting: A walk through the historic center to see Verga’s House and the Cunziria. During the walk, we will enjoy a gastronomic break: a tasting of fresh, warm ricotta, local Pecorino, and the famous Vizzini sausage, prepared according to ancient recipes. 12:30 PM – Countryside Drive: A relaxing drive through the scenic Hyblaean hills, stopping for photos of the panoramic landscape. 01:30 PM – Arrival in Caltagirone: Time for a light lunch or a walk through the lush Villa Comunale, one of Italy’s most beautiful public gardens, decorated with exquisite ceramics. We explore the heart of Caltagirone, visiting some church and hidden artisan studios where you can see potters at work, the iconic staircase with the magnificent 142-step staircase, learning about the evolution of ceramic styles from the Arab period to today. 04:00 PM – Return: Drop-off at your hotel
