After graduation I worked on wildlife projects with the University of Catania always striving to combine my professional career with my true passion, show my beautiful and beloved country to all people who came here and sought authentic and local experience of Sicily and Catania. Step by step I started to work as a tour guide for several local companies. I put a special attention in selecting the best locations, from historic landmark buildings, from the main towns to the unique countryside locations and natural local beauties. So It's very complicated for me to tell you what's my favorite tour, cause all of theme are very unique. My tours stimulate all the senses, from the sight of natural and landscape beauties to the flavors and smells of cities and countryside. My land is rich of stories dating back from the distant mists of time and due to the different dominations that took place in different stages of our journey through time. So what else can I say? Overview of your Catania tour

Everything around us is linked to the territory in which we find ourselves, the volcanic soil that has strongly influenced local traditions over the centuries, in our tour I will make sure to let you discover the various aspects related to this territory. After our meeting at your facility, I will take you to a typical pastry shop to make the classic Sicilian breakfast with granita (ice-cream without milk) and brioches (our croissant) After a short walk to visit the folkloric Fish Market, we will take the car to go and see everything related to our land, so we'll travel along a road that flanks the volcano. We'll arrive in a characteristic Etna village where we will go to visit a local company that produces honey, the real wealth of the place. We'll continue in a typical winary surrounded by the aromas that our land offers us. After visiting the cellar and the vineyard, we will have a delicious lunch based on local products prepared according to tradition and wines expertly paired with the dishes served.

We had a fantastic tour with Roberto, his sense of humor added to his immense knowledge of everything Catania. We first had quite a nice tour around town with a Sicilian breakfast and many Sicilian stories. Roberto is a wealth of knowledge. The drive to Mt. Etna is filled with so many pieces of culture as well as many narrow hairpin turns! Our time at the winery was wonderful, not rushed and the food and wine were delicious. We can highly recommend Roberto no matter what tour you choose. You will not be disappointed.

Roberto was a great tour guide and he really loves his country and the history that makes it such a great place to visit. Learning about the geology and history of Mt Edna provided by Roberto was very interesting. And finally, the advantage of having a local tour guide cannot be over exaggerated, especially when he or she brings you to a local bakery or winery to taste the local specialties and can explain the production and preparation of the various items, Roberto excelled in this area.
