We had Mimmo for 3 days as we visited the eastern part of Sicily. He knew the important places for us to visit but gave us choices to make the most efficient use of our time. He knew all the places where the locals ate so we had a chance to experience the regional cuisine which was excellent. His English was excellent and made his explanations easy to understand. If my wife and I were to visit Sicily again, we would certainly ask Mimmo to take us to the other parts of Sicily we did not have time to see

Your Catania tour itinerary
Day 1: Pick up in CATANIA and leave for Siracusa. Visit Ortigia and the archaeological area. In the afternoon admire the baroque town Noto. Night in Ragusa. Day 2: Start for Piazza Armerina for the famous UNESCO Roman Villa del Casale. Probably the finest and most extensive display of mosaics of the Roman era. On the way short stop in Caltagirone. Night in Taormina. Day 3: Start to Mount Etna (till 6500 feet). Enjoy a walk at the nearby Silvestri Craters or simply soak up the atmosphere of the volcano. Optional possibility to reach 9500 feet by cable car. In the afternoon reach the quaint hilltop village Savoca, among the Godfather movie. Back to Taormina. Day 4: Taormina Walking Tour in this lovely town. Following enjoy Etna wines during a special Home Hosted Wine Experience. The variety of excellent wines, vineyards and typical traditional food makes this destination a special place. End tour in Catania.
