Hello and welcome to Santorini – the most enchanting island of Greece. An island of contrasts, both wild and gentle, timeless and ever-changing. Santorini is pure magic: a place that captivates the heart, softens the soul, and leaves every visitor spellbound. My name is Anna, and I am a licensed tour guide of Greece with a degree in History and Archaeology. From a very young age, history was my greatest passion. After completing my studies in 2010, I realized that what I truly wanted was not only to research the past but to bring it to life, to share stories with people, and to connect culture with real experiences. In 2014, I became a licensed guide – and since then, guiding has been not just my profession, but my calling. With me, you won’t just see Santorini – you will experience it. Together we will wander through its hidden gems, explore the prehistoric town of Akrotiri, stroll picturesque villages, taste the island’s world-famous wines and local delicacies, and capture unforgettable moments against breathtaking views. Every tour can be tailored to your interests, ensuring a personal and memorable journey. Whether you want to dive deep into history, savor authentic flavors, or simply enjoy Santorini’s beauty, I will create an experience designed just for you. Let me share my passion, knowledge, and love for this island with you. Discover Santorini not as a visitor, but as a guest welcomed into its heart. In this tour we focus on the medieval past of Santorini by visiting some of the traditional villages . Venetian families lived in the so called Kastellis (small castles) to protect themselves from the pirates, while the poor villagers dug caves and made them into houses (cave houses ) . We will admire the architecture, learn about the history, the myths and superstitions they believed. I have stories to share of demons and vampires the Yayas (grandmothers) used to tell . At the end we will see the different colours that consist this volcanic island. The tour requires a lot of walking , climbing up and and going down steps. Guests need to be prepared and wear hats, sunscreen and comfortable shoes. Optional stop for refreshments can be made in any village you like or you feel that you need a break. Always remember that we can adjust the tour according to your needs
The tour includes 3 villages , the black and red beach and the white Vlychada bay The village of Pyrgos the highest village in Santorini with more than 50 churches and chapels. When we reach the top we will be able to admire a panoramic view of the whole island . The village of Megalochori, carved in the volcanic ash full with tiny cave houses, a hidden gem. The village of Emporio , the best preserved traditional Kasteli in Santorini , unique architecture and narrow alleys like a labyrinth. Then we drive through the black beach (optional stop possible ) and head to Vlychada where the pumice has changed the colours of the area . We end with one last attraction the red beach for a quick Photo. **If you are a cruise ship passenger you should know that the port in Santorini is tendered.
