Experience the Best of Santorini in a Day

Yiannis was an excellent tour guide. He provided many details about Santorini in general as well as information about each stop along the way. Also, I took a bad fall while on tour (tripped in a divot on a cobblestone street) and he immediately jumped into action. Yiannis obtained ice for my knee from a local restaurant, modified the rest of the tour to accommodate my injury, and coordinated the most efficient way for me to return to my cruise ship (which included unconventional arrangements and waiting for quite a while). Despite the detours, my group didn’t feel like they lost out on anything because he is such an experienced and knowledgeable guide. I am eternally grateful for him as a guide and as a person.

I researched dozens of guides and am so glad I went with him. He was beyond amazing. He's super knowledgeable and passionate, customized the tour to me and took me to so many places all around the island. A highlight at the end was a farm to table tour and lunch. I would do another tour with him in a heartbeat - I highly recommend going with him!!

Yiannis was terrific in taking us around the beautiful island of Santorini. The hours the ship was in port were less than ideal. (2:00 PM to 10:00PM) . Inspite of that challange, Viannis was able to get us to a number of highlights before it got dark. He was very willing to accomadate our wishes of place to see as well as showing us some addition beautiful places. I would highly recommend him for a tour of Santorini

Yiannis was very knowledgeable about the island and especially about wine. He showed us the highlights and took us to a very nice little restaurant to try local food and wine. We had one guest with mobility challenges and he was very accommodating, parking in convenient locations and helping to get in and out of van.

Yiannis was absolutely wonderful and our time with him in Santorini will never be forgotten! Not only did we see the blue domed churches and the beautiful city but was stopped at a restaurant that overlooked the domed churches. The feeling of being rushed and trying to get that perfect picture was gone! We had the perfect view and we were able to enjoy our time viewing the beauty from this perfect spot! One of the reasons we went with Tours By Locals is that you are with a local and he/she knows the locals! We felt like we were with "The Man"! lol. He knew lots of people and it definitely helps when trying to get the best table at a restaurant with a view like we had! THANK YOU, YIANNIS!! We will forever remember our tour in Santorini!

Yiannis was incredible! His professionalism, compassion, historical knowledge and ability to communicate and reach our group at all levels was beyond compare! If you are on a cruise it can be quite challenging getting on the cable cars, ask Yiannis about using a water taxi. He treated our group of 8 like family and conducted a tour we will never forget.
