Hello, I am Eugenia and I would be very happy to welcome you on the island of beauty, love, romance and history. I am a licensed tourist guide, which means that in order to be able to give tours in all the archaeological sites and historic monuments of Greece, I had to take a 3 year in-depth course and successfully pass the Greek Ministry of Tourism exams. I am a native Santorinian and I have deep knowledge of its history, culture, traditions . My true love for Santorini is what stimulates me to do my job with passion and sense of responsibility. I want to show you my island through my eyes and to make you live not a simple tour but an auhtentic experience in a lighthearted and friendly way. I want you to discover my island's beauties and history, while you immerse into the real culture and feel as a real local. What I always try to do is to personalize my tours tailored to my customers. Thus every tour can be exclusive, individual, exactly to your liking, informative and above all joyous and memorable. As a private guide , I love to build a more intimate relationship with my guests. . So at the end of the day I want you to feel that you had not only an expert at your service but also a new Greek friend. Since every moment counts, our tour can also combine the opportunity of having with you your own professional photographer who will discreetly capture you and the islands' beauties in a contemporary and candid style (no cheesy smiles, no poses !!). Come walk with me to discover Santorini's archaeological wonders, discover the blue domes, wander around traditional villages and taste its local food and wine. Do not hesitate to contact me for any curiosity, info or request you might have. I look forward to hearing from you and booking our special shore excursion or tour together. Travel is the one thing you buy that makes you richer!! - Licensed tour guide certified by the Greek ministry of Tourism - Certificate of Proficiency, Cambridge University - Italian Institute of Athens As a licensed guide, I have no restrictions.

An archaeology lover or not, Akrotiri is a must on your schedule and you won't regret visiting it. Let me introduce you to the great history Santorini has to offer and discover together the secrets of ancient Akrotiri, the source of inspiration for Plato's story of the lost city of Atlantis!. Getting inside Akrotiri will definitely change your idea of visiting just another archaeological site. Later , a visit at the Prehistoric museum of Fira which houses wall paintings, artifacts and the only gold item found so far in Akrotiri , will help us to get a more complete picture of this unique civilization that flourished in Santorini 3600 years ago.

Wow! How to make an ancient city buried under ash for centuries come back to life in a most vibrant and entertaining way? Euginia did just that. What at first just looked like a lot of old broken down buildings became a city full of life with Euginia's tour. In addition, since the Akrotiri museum was closed, she took us to her home village of Pyrogis, giving us a full walking tour culminating in a visit to the "new" Francos (which was our favorite cafe/bar in Fira, now closed). If you go, you must try the Maria Callas champagne cocktail -- just as good as the ones at the "old" Francos. All in all, a wonderful tour with a fantastic guide!
The old history of Santorini is similar, although less known as the Greek & Egyptian civilizations. What amazed me that hardly any defenses or military structures were found, indicating a peaceful time. Eugenia will show you her passion for the history of Santorini from a trading and natural disaster's perspective (Vulcano eruption). Fully recommend her as your guide to understand more of the Santorini people and how they adapt, survive and thrive in a changing world.
Eugenia met us at our hotel on time and gave us an overview of the Santorini history on the drive to Akitori ruins and the museum in Fira. She was delightful and deeply knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subjects of the tour. Transportation was comfortable and safe. The tour was complete, but not too long. Afterwards, she gave us some good tips on exploring Fira and some good restaurants for lunch. We grandparents with our teenage granddaughter really enjoyed our morning with Eugenia. Great!
Akrotiri was a cosmopolitan port in the southern Aegean during the Bronze Age. It was destroyed in the late 17th century BC, when one of the most powerful volcanic eruptions ever recorded in Earth's history took place in Santorini. Walking through the ruins, you may see sophisticated public and private buildings, once decorated with beautiful wall paintings, which even had indoor plumbing and a sewage system, paved streets, and storerooms full of clay jars perfectly preserved beneath the volcanic ash produced during that tremendous catastrophe. The city lies beneath a new bioclimatic roof that allows visitors to wander around comfortably even on hot summer days. -THE PREHISTORIC MUSEUM in Fira houses wall paintings and artifacts that once decorated the buildings in Akrotiri . Our visit will help us get a more complete picture of Santorini of the Bronze Age.
