Explore Corfu Like a Local Yia sas! (Hello!) I’m Georgia, a licensed professional tourist guide born and raised on the beautiful island of Corfu. I truly love this profession and enjoy sharing every corner of my island with my guests. Choosing me as your guide means discovering Corfu at a relaxed pace, seeing its famous sights and hidden gems while experiencing its culture, history, and natural beauty with a local expert who is passionate about her home. Graduated from the official guiding school of the Organization of Tourism Education & Training (OTEK), I have been guiding professionally since 2010, specializing in private tours, VIP travelers, and cruise guests. Since then, I have personally led over 3,500 tours for private guests, small groups, and cruise passengers, including guests with special needs. This experience gives me the insight to ensure smooth, worry-free tours, well-organized logistics, and effortless flow, so every moment is relaxing, perfectly timed, and enjoyable to the fullest. Growing up in a family-run taverna, I learned from a young age how to connect with people from all over the world. This shaped the way I guide my guests today: with warmth, patience, and a personal touch, making every tour friendly, engaging, and memorable. I have worked extensively with major cruise lines such as Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Viking, Crystal, and Celebrity. This experience allows me to understand cruise schedules, port logistics, and the importance of smooth, stress-free flow, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and enjoyable tour. I have no restrictions in my guiding and enjoy every moment being with my guests, tailoring each experience to their interests, pace, and preferences. Do not hesitate to contact me — I will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. I really look forward to meeting you and showing you around the place I love most, my home – CORFU!

This walking tour is designed for guests who enjoy exploring cities on foot, at a comfortable pace that allows Corfu Old Town’s history and atmosphere to come together naturally. The walk has a clear flow and structure, focusing on orientation, context, and stories that help the city make sense. We move through narrow alleys and open squares, combining well-known landmarks with quieter corners. Along the way, there is context on Corfu’s Venetian, French, and British periods, as well as practical local insight into how the Old Town is lived in today. The tour works especially well for first-time visitors who want a clear, unhurried introduction to the Old Town, with space for questions, photos, and short pauses when needed.
• Old Fortress (outside) – Schulenburg statue and views over the Old Town • Esplanade Square – Open space and historical setting • Liston Promenade – Arcades inspired by French design • Palace of St. George & Archangel Michael (outside) – Former British administration building • San Giacomo (Duomo) – Catholic cathedral and City Hall area • Saint Spyridon Church – The island’s most important church • Pinia district – Local neighborhood atmosphere • Kantounia (alleys) – Walking through the narrow streets of the Old Town • Durrell Gardens – Short walk through the gardens Along the way, we can also touch briefly on the Durrell family and their connection to Corfu, if this is of interest. The route can adjust slightly depending on pace, crowd levels, and your interests.

We will meet at the entrance of the Old Fortress, by the statue of Matthias Johann von der Schulenburg. This is a central and easy-to-find location in Corfu Town. For cruise guests, most shuttle buses stop next to this area. If your shuttle stops elsewhere on the day, please let me know where it drops you off, and I will confirm the most convenient meeting point in advance by message. If you prefer a different meeting point within the Old Town, this can also be arranged and confirmed by message.
