I have a passion for history and guiding my guests through the unique cities of Esslingen and Stuttgart. I grew up in Michigan and worked in the aerospace and automotive industries as an engineer. Always curious about my own German heritage, I studied the German language and traveled extensively. Overview of your Stuttgart tour
This historical city tour is a walking excursion by an experienced and native-English speaking guide, who will enthusiastically show you the best parts of the capital-city of Stuttgart followed by the beautiful, former medieval town of Esslingen. You will be amazed to see the parks, monuments and historical buildings and learn about German culture from a native-English speaking local.
Your Stuttgart tour itinerary
- You will be met by your guide in Stuttgart (or alternatively in Esslingen ) at a centrally-located hotel or meeting point in the city center. - The tour includes the best parts of central Stuttgart including the old and new palaces, das Rathaus (city hall), the Collegiate Church and several war memorials amongst other sites. - We will proceed from Stuttgart via train to Esslingen (about 15 minute travel time), where we will tour Esslingen with a coffee or short lunch break. The tour will include the old town of Esslingen with many of its medieval buildings (parish church, City Hall, "Little Venice" and charming half-timbered houses. We will return back to the Esslingen train station where you will travel back to Stuttgart or your further destination.
