Overview of your Hamburg tour
Can I make you fall in love with this beautiful city? A port right in the middle of a city, 100 km far from the North Sea. A history of more than 1. 000 years and historic buildings like our impressive city hall, merchants' homes and warehouses made from red brick make this city an interesting place to see. Have you heard about the Hanseatic League? Let me tell you about this amazing association of merchants. We will follow the footsteps of pepper, cacao and tobacco traders. The warehouse district is part of the UNESCO world heritage and known as the largest warehouse complex in the world. Let us discover one of the old warehouses and smell spices and coffee. Do you like music? You surely should joint a concert in the Elbphilharmonic Hall during your stay. Let me tell you the story of the construction period and the costs! In between we can taste a cup of coffee in one of our best coffee roasteries or have a typical fish sandwich at the port. Or do you prefer a typical Currywurst (curry sausage)?

We will walk at your velocity and can stop for a coffee or a snack if you want. - Town hall (Rathaus), Alster lake (Binnenalster and Jungfernstieg) - Dyke road with ancient houses of 17th century (Deichstrasse) - Speicherstadt (ancient warehouse district) - HafenCity and famous new concert hall Elbphilharmonie - We will use a public harbor ferry to reach the port area landing bridges (Landungsbrücken) - Stop for a snack - typical Hamburg Fischbrötchen and a drink called Alsterwasser (a mixture of beer and lemonade) - We pass the Portuguese quarter - Visit our landmark St. Michaelis Church and the widow homes of the grocer stores (Krameramtsgasse) - The tour can end at the town hall or in the port area I am more than willing to customize this tour according to your preferences, please contact me for a customized tour
