Hello, my name is Evan and I am a professional and also fun loving guide who enjoys nothing more than exploring new places and meeting new people. I myself am an avid traveller and through this believe to have gained a real insight into what it is that makes a memorable trip into an unforgettable one; and it is this special something which I try to bring into my tours. This, of course, means learning all about Hamburg's rich history and culture but also includes visiting a few secret spots, taking in some breathtaking views and what I particularly love, discussing what it is that makes the Hamburgers tick! Along the way it is always a great pleasure of mine to share one of my great passions with you, being the wonderfully weird German language. Most importantly of all however I also love to allow my enthusiasm for local food and drink spill over into the tour and chat all about Hamburg with you in one of our many local cafes or restaurants. I am very flexible with regards to my tours and all of my tours can be customized to your personal needs and interests. Together we will explore Hamburg's most important and famous landmarks and historical sights in order to give you a comprehensive overview of the city's rich history and culture in a short period of time.
Your Hamburg tour itinerary
Our tour will begin upon the scenic banks of the river Alster in Hamburg's historical city center and will take us on an exciting journey from Hamburg's beginnings all the way up to modern day. Along our way we will visit the city's most important points of interest and learn about the events and people which have shaped the city and it's people over the centuries. The points of interest and topics which we will cover include but are by no means limited to: - The Alster river - Hamburg's Townhall - The bombing of Hamburg - German colonialism - Hamburg's Castle - UNESCO protected Kontorhausviertel - UNESCO protected Speicherstadt - Hamburg's Churches - The Hafencity - The Elbe river - Hamburg's industrial harbour - The Elbphilharmonie (Concerthall) Of course however it is always my pleasure to adjust this tour to your interests and needs. For instance it is possible upon request to combine the tour with a boat trip.
