Hello, I'm Jin, a licensed English-speaking tour guide based in Shanghai. For more than 15 years, I have been helping visitors discover Shanghai and eastern China. During those years, I realized that my greatest passion is not simply guiding tours—it's creating personalized journeys that match each guest's interests, travel style and available time. I believe every visitor is different, so every itinerary should be different. Whether it's your first visit to Shanghai or you're returning to discover something new, I enjoy combining the city's famous highlights with authentic local experiences that many visitors would never find on their own. Of course, we'll visit iconic places such as The Bund, Yu Garden or Shanghai Tower if that's what you'd like. But some of my favorite moments happen away from the crowds—walking through historic Shikumen neighborhoods, watching local residents practice Tai Chi in the park, visiting a traditional wet market or sharing dumplings in a neighborhood restaurant. These authentic experiences have become one of the reasons guests remember their day with me long after they return home. Another specialty is my Layover Tours. If you have five hours or more between flights, I can help you turn your stopover into one of the highlights of your journey, with an itinerary carefully planned around your flight schedule. From our first conversation until the end of your visit, I enjoy working together to create a day that reflects your interests and pace. Guest reviews consistently mention my flexibility, communication and attention to detail, and I believe those qualities are just as important as local knowledge. I look forward to welcoming you to Shanghai and helping you discover the city through the eyes of a local.

Welcome to the Shanghai that many visitors never see. This tour is for people who would like to discover the real Shanghai, not only the famous attractions. Together we will explore Hongkou District, one of Shanghai's oldest neighborhoods. We will walk through traditional Shikumen streets, visit local markets and discover places where people live their daily lives. If we visit in the morning, we can stop at a neighborhood park where people practice Tai Chi, dance, sing and do their morning exercises. If you like, you are welcome to join them. Along the way I will share stories about Shanghai's history, culture and daily life. This is my suggested tour. If there are places you would like to visit, or if you would like to spend more time at one location, just let me know. I will be happy to adjust the tour to match your interests, pace and available time.
