Greetings! My name is Michael, and I'm a passionate and experienced tour guide based in the dynamic city of Shanghai. As a graduate of the Shanghai Institute of Tourism, I've spent my career sharing the beauty and stories of this incredible city with travelers from all over the world. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, I'm dedicated to providing a personalized and unforgettable experience. My love for what I do comes through in every tour, and I take pride in treating every customer—from VIPs to solo adventurers—with the same care and enthusiasm. I specialize in creating bespoke, private tours that are tailored to your interests and pace. Over the past 25 years, I have honed my skills in hospitality and customer service, including extensive experience with shore excursions for the last two and a half years. My tours are always designed as private experiences to ensure you get the most out of your time in Shanghai, and I never combine groups. For your convenience, I can also arrange private transportation through my network of reliable contacts.

After conquering the Song Dynasty, Kublai Khan abandoned the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, established a southern grain depot in Taicang, and transported grain by coastal shipping to Beijing in the north. Since then, Taicang embarked on a glorious era, becoming one of the most important international ports in eastern China within the vast Mongol territory, and earning the title of "Six-Nation Wharf". Early Ming Dynasty, the greatest Chinese navigator under Emperor Zhudi took Taicang as his departure port and led a massive fleet to travel from Southeast Asia to southeastern Africa. During the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, a senior official of "state premier" rank was born in Taicang. His private garden remains the most beautiful private garden in the Jiangnan region to this day. Today, spend a day exploring this ancient city that was once as glorious as modern Shanghai.
