I moved to Shanghai 20 years ago and have become a local of this vibrant metropolis. I like Shanghai's fusion of the historic with the modern, the East with the West, and as a professional tour guide, I would love to explore this impressive megacity together with tourists from all over the world. I am passionate about travelling and have travelled to many places in Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. I grew up in a small village near Tibet in Southwest China and had spent four university years in Northeast China. After graduated from university, I have worked in different cities including Beijing, Shenzhen and Kunming . I also had lived in Europe for five months have travel to Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia many times, which gave me the chance to see beautiful scenery, experience different cultures and meet interesting new friends. As a local guide in Shanghai, I always treat tourists as my friends and try my best to let them experience as much as possible in this amazing city. Besides guiding typical Shanghai city highlights tour which include the Bund, Yu Garden, Lujiazui skyscrapers observatory, I also frequently bring tourists to Suzhou and Hangzhou, visiting scenic historic watertown and canals, enjoy the enchantment of world heritage gardens and West lake serenity. I like running and swimming in my spare time and have finished marathon and triathlon races in the past. I am also an AHA heart saver certified rescue volunteer for running races in Shanghai. I have worked as outdoors hiking tour leaders for several years, leading around 10-50 people to enjoy the mountain climbing, river tracing, rafting and kayaking. I am a new guide here at The Tour By Local, however I have already delivered many professional tour guide for tourists from different countries including America, Europe and Australian, and have received quite many positive feedback from them. China National English Tour Guide certificate. AHA heart saver certificate. Triathlete and National swimming coach certificate. I can drive but I don't own a car. I can arrange suitable van, bus or taxi for our trip.
