My background is in Photography and Fine Art, so my tours have a fun, creative edge, and I can take you to some of Toronto's more interesting, off-the-beaten-track neighborhoods. I also do specialist art tours and foodie tours, where I will take you around some of Toronto's greatest art galleries (including the Art Gallery of Ontario, where I am a Gallery Guide), or for foodie tours, taking you into shops selling gourmet delights and local specialties, some of which are completely unique to Toronto. My tours are all on foot, or by bicycle for certain areas, by special arrangement, all accessible by public transit. I am passionate about my city, Toronto, and would love to share that passion with you and make your visit a memorable one. -Fully licensed Niagara guide -Member of the Tourist Guide Association of Toronto -WSET certification in wine and spirits -First Aid and CPR trained -Specialist in culinary and art tours I am not a driver, and all my tours are on foot or by bicycle, and all tours meet close to public transit.

Toronto is a city of neighborhoods and one of the first to become hip and happening was Queen west. Starting in the 1970's, Queen street west was home to arty shops, cool bars and funky restaurants. A few of the originals remain, but most of the edginess of Queen west has moved further west along Queen street where artists, designers and young entrepreneurs have set up their businesses. "West Queen West" has been named one the world's hippest neighbourhoods by Vogue magazine. This tour will take you from the earlier part of the strip to the western fringe, where it is still up and coming and off the beaten track. We will go into distinctive, independent stores, some gourmet food stores, art galleries and even a sampling of some of the back alleyways decorated with graffiti. This tour is suited for those who really want to see Toronto's younger, hipper side, but will be interesting for all ages. There will be a lot of walking and an optional streetcar (tram) ride.
We will start at the eastern-most end of the Queen West Entertainment District, moving west to the Art + Design District where the vibe gets more "indy" and less commercial. The tour will follow Queen Street West stopping at some cool shops, parks, boutiques, hotels and galleries. Some great photo opportunities especially for graffiti enthusiasts! We will also make optional stops for snacks, a meal or a rest. The tour will take 2-2. 5 hours and will finish at the western end of Canada's hippest street.
