This is a chance to get to know downtown Toronto's unique cultural and natural heritage. I have a Master's degree in urban culture and a thriving interest in Toronto's heritage. I designed this tour to walk you through some of the most significant and interesting Downtown spaces. Along the way we'll look at how Toronto grew and how's its growing. Our tour can be carried out come rain or shine. There will be time to take it all in breaks, take selfies and find some snacks or souvenirs at some of Toronto's best local shops.
Our tour winds our way from Yorkville to the Waterfront. We will explore: -The St. George campus of University of Toronto; Canada's oldest. ·The Thomas Fisher Rare book library; a unique experience of an invaluable collection (weekdays only). -The 'Ledge' AKA the Provincial building at Queen's Park. -MaRS and the Discovery District, a thriving BioTechnology hub -City Hall & Nathan Philips Square; get a selfie with the sign -The famous modern architecture of the Financial District -The Victorian grandeur of the Royal York Hotel. -Union Station, a key to Canadian history. -The waterfront at Lake Ontario.

This is a walking tour using City sidewalks and paved walking paths through the downtown area. There are however public transportation options available at all points of this tour if requested. This is approximately 10,000 steps, all gently downhill and accessible.
