Bonjour et bienvenue! My goal is to help you fall in love with Quebec City and its region. My passion for old Quebec City began long before I moved here seven years ago. I was born in Montreal region, but my father was born and raised across the river from Quebec City. My dad’s work made us nomads in the province of Quebec though we never lived anywhere near Quebec City. My ancestors began arriving from France to settle in the area in the 17th century. The move was the best decision of my life. Seven years as a tour manager on multi-day coach tours in North America broadened my knowledge of cities, provinces and Canada in general. Now I live in the heart of the historic town, a busy beautiful place. Since my arrival in Quebec City I have had the pleasure of sharing stories and history as a guide at historic sites, and also spent a couple of summers talking about whales as naturalist guide on boats and zodiacs on Saint-Lawrence River. Now I focus on sharing beautiful Quebec City and its areas with visitors from all over the world. So much to talk about: - How did a tiny fur trading post on indigenous territory become a capital city? - Known as the cradle of French civilization in North America, it was British territory for 108 years - What motivated such changes in our history - Architecture is a unique mix of different periods and styles, French, British, and Canadian - Old Quebec was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1985 - Quebec is also a modern, vibrant and culturally rich city also known for its gastronomy - What is happening in town during your time here? - Local shops Whatever the subject I share it with much heart and passion. It is a privilege to earn a living helping guests discover or rediscover my beautiful hometown. And it will be my pleasure to provide a customized visit for you to bring home the best memories and hopefully to motivate you to come back. All my tours are private, ‘your’ guided visit, with flexible and adaptable itineraries focused on your interests. Will you be here for a special occasion? We can stay in touch from first contact to your arrival, via the ToursByLocals platform, to attentively plan your customized experience. I will do my very best to make your wishes come true. * I have been working in the tourism industry since 2013 * Quebec City Licensed Tour Guide * Member of the Quebec City Tour Guide Association * Certified Quebec Local Tour Guide with St.Lawrence Champlain College * Certified International Tour Manager with International Guide Academy * Not to mention continuous learning from books, conferences and visits * Published freelance car racing photographer from 1996 to 2008 * Tous les tours sont aussi disponibles en français. * I do not drive but it is possible to provide an out-of-town tour with a private chauffeur and vehicle, or should you have a car and prefer to use it, your tour will be planned and priced accordingly as I travel with you.
