Day 1: Our tour starts at 9 am with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Rila Monastery, famous for its 19th-century architecture and murals. We’ll visit the museum, hike to the cave of St. John of Rila. After this, we’ll drive to a local restaurant for lunch. Next, we head to Melnik, Bulgaria's smallest town, home to the Melnik pyramids and the Kordopulova House museum. After a visit, we'll drive to Rozhen village, check into a guest house, and enjoy home cooked dinner with a selection of 3 regional wines. Day 2: We begin at 9 am with a visit to the Rozhen Monastery, dating from the 13th century, followed by a 30-minute drive to Heraclea Sintica, an archaeological site. After exploring for 1.5 hours, we’ll head to Sofia and on the way we'll stop and sightsee Bansko, and have a lunch break. Further on our way to Sofia we'll visit the UNESCO-listed Boyana Church before checking into your hotel in Sofia.
Day 1: 9 am - Meeting at hotel lobby, check-out and drive to Rila monastery 10.45 am - arrival at the Rila monastery and sightseeing, inclusive of St. John of Rila cave 1 .30 pm - lunch break at local restaurant 2.30 pm - start driving to Melnik 4.15 pm - arrival in Melnik and sightseeing. 5.30 pm - drive to village of Rozhen. 6 pm - check-in and traditional homemade dinner with tasting wines from a local winery - Orbelia. Overnight. Day 2: 9.00 am – check-out and drive to Rupite locality 9.30 am – sightseeing of Rupite locality park and Heraclea Sintica 11 .00am – drive to Bansko 12.30 pm – arrival in Bansko. Lunch break and sightseeing 2 pm – drive to Sofia. 4 pm – visit UNESCO Boyana church 5 pm – drive to hotel in Sofia city
